You need to work on those shadows and highlights. On the upside you made it through freehanding, keep in that habit.

Great concept. I can't wait to see what it looks like once you add highlights and shadows.
Maybe you should go look at some tutorials for making textures thats what I did for my model. This one is probably good for starting. But this one is probably the one that helped me the most.

Hey buddy, this is a good start with base colors but I do think you need to do some more detail and a little of shading and H.L.

Look threw this for a cloth tutorial and a hair tutorial, remember to be creative when reading a tutorial do what ever feels right and only use the brush tool.

For skin there aren't very many good tutorials out there but wulf(or what ever she changed her name to.) wrote me one when I was having trouble at one time. - http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/f274/could-someone-give-me-example-explain-53011/#post498968 this will help with doing flesh any other problems just ask and one of us will help you out.

Looking a lot better but I suggest doing some more shading on the hair like some dark patches/in general shading.

Looking better. Though I do think maybe if you tried to make his armor more leathery or more like a animal hide it'd be good.
