2. the basics are pretty simple open chaos spectrum make your color useing the R G B (red green blue) sliders to create your color then select the kind of blend you want here is what the 2 recommended blends do (solid) just a solid color the used blend for all the color codes used in for the other color codes included in the pack!
(BLEND) a blend that gos from A-B changeing color slowly through the intire word
then put the text you want in the first box slightly below the middle of the window then click Color Text Now! and it will apear in the box below the first one now if you wer to put that code into wc3 as a name the intire text you put in the box will be the color chosen if you want it to just go to the text you put in the first box then you press |R up right of the window from the first box this is a line reset prettymuch what ever you put in the box will be colored! nothing else and |N is for line breaks not recommended to be used Known to have some bugs with WC3 congratulations! you just made a color code to be used for wc3!!!
3. here are some tips for color codeing
if your makeing an archive of color codes like in the pack provided you should use ctrl+c to copy from spectrum and press ctrl+v when pasteing into the notepad text window and use ctrl+s to save itll save you hours of work and save your mouse! also if you snoop around with spectrum you can save codes made already made in notepad in text in the top of the window and you can also switch it in modes to change it to html so you dont also have an easy to use wc3 color code youalso have an html color coder for the forums that support html *like this one!* oh and if your gonna do it manually you should know where the | is its below your backspace its the uper case of \
4.ok doing this manualy is a tad hard but once you get it you can do dozens of codes at once but its hard to know what the color exactly is unless you study the deverse colors there are its a long lesson and isnt necacary to code without a program lets do some html color codes! first lets look at the few basic color codes here>http://html-color-codes.com/ < ok now go down to the middle of the page you should see a bunch of colors and codes on them these are raw codes for color use able for wc3 and html and quite a few other goodies ok now open up chaos spectrum just so i can show you what i mean now make a red color for wc3 in the bottom box as usual youll see the code now we can use this as an example open up wc3 world edit put the code in ( note) remember you cant color a name or the main name of the map! or a name of an ability only item names and quest and loading screen text etc) now test your map now see the colored text now close wc3 and go into world editor and change the code remember first the| then the code were gonna use FF0033 as the code remember the | then the code FF0033 then what text you want colored then to end the coloring use |R at the end it means line break for wc3 now the text should be colored bright red now make your own color in note pad or word pad like mine i edited the HTML version of bright red (FF0033) into (FF0010) its a darker red now you should know a bit of manual its hard to explain really but you should have a basic grasp of manual use now! happy colorin you artist!
