Autocast target

How do I make an autocast spell able to be cast on trees? I tried checking Trees on Targets Allowed, but I still can't target it.

Edit: By the way, it would be preferrable if it could also target Self, which doesn't seem to work unless I also check Ground. The base ability I'm using is Inner Fire. The ability itself doesn't do anything - it just casts "nothing" in an AoE, and hopefully, I can use triggers to detect and count how many trees were touched by the ability.

If you could, that would be great.

In short, the goal is to make an autocast ability that, when cast, grants the player lumber depending on how many trees are within a specified range of the caster.

Can I make this spell as count per second ?
I mean if the number of trees around 500 AOE of the triggering unit is 5, then we're gonna get 5 lumber per second, do you want this ?
