I have a tag game that I am creating, but I have run into a issue that makes chasing down a unit practically pointless...

The chasing unit even though it is faster cannot attack the the running slower unit no matter what unless that unit makes a turn... The chasing unit gets to a certain distance and just stutters as it follows always at that distance.

Is there a way to fix this so that units running in a straight line can be caught up to and attacked?

That's the Warcraft 3 game mechanism :p

Maybe you can use permanent immolation and adjust its AoE to your needs.

Just give the attacking unit longer melee range.

Something like 125 should make it work fine?

It annoyingly does not seem to... Still just stutters behind keeping at a specific distance. Only attacking when they turn, but now being able to do that attack further into the walls. It is odd... Just straight lines are a mess.
