I sow how to attach but I need help in the guild says I have to make dummy
ability can someone please tell me how thats all thank you.

u can make a attachment based on a abillity i made this work one time but then i couldnt anymore :p hope im saying this right: first you download the model u want or find one u want inside wc3. then u make a new abillity and give it a name, make the abillity on ... armor bonus or any other should be okay. change the bonus to 0 or what u would like it to be. change the "art - target" to the model you want. now change the "art - target attachment point 1" to... lets say you want your weapon in the left hand. you shall write "left,hand" in the same field but when u enter it will be in two fields. now change the "Art - Target Attachments" to 1 and change "item abillty" to false so you can add it too a unit. Add the abillity to a unit and that should be it for now :D

note: if this didnt work i think u should check out www.thehelper.net they got some great stuff for world editor and i think it was there i learned to attach stuff... hope it works :)

Could you be a more little specific?

A dummy ability, is an ability you make, this ability do nothing. You use it, and nothing happens. You can make one for example, using roar, eliminating buffs, casting times, etc, and animation if you want.

You use this, to launch a trigger (Unit - A unit Finishes casting an ability), then you compare it with the skill you want(so when the unit finishes casting the ability you want the trigger will start).

Just do as i said ... if u cant find armor bonus its under item and "item - armor bonus +1" i think... :hohum: and need_O2 is right plz search before posting thats actually a rule i think... but it said in every post under the start text... ( World Editor Help Zone Need help with Blizzard's World Editor? Ask general questions about its features and use in this forum. Please read me first.

thank you all I see u are trying every thing to help a newbie I am sorry I didnt search every where I found one guild and I read it ok I have one more question I am not sure where to put this ability I mean I try in the default active ability and the normal but nothing and if that is some where write all ready I am sorry I didnt find it:confused:

look there I have to use many things like triqqets and its just I dont need so much and if didnt read before last post I sad and post now I know how to attach thats it and like you sad no offense thank you

2 Just_Spectating: dude, don't confuse the new guy!

2 davidoleg: note the sphere ability of the blood mage: it does absolutely nothing and has no icon (which is what you want), but it has attached models (those thingies rotating around blood mage). use a copy of that spell. no triggers needed.

as for icons, examine "orc battle standard". rexxar carries that stuff in campaign. when he picks it up, a big flag is attached to his back.

lol just_spectating ... the skill will be passive (the guide i made) if its a hero (mostly) you just need to put it under "Normal abillites" and the weapon / attachment will appear when map starts :wink: oh and if you want the fire hands like in DotA do this :

make a new ability based on sphere like edge[d1] said... thanks edge ;D then you change the model to -unit missile- -archmage,black drake, centaur sorcerer and so on... then you change attachment targets to 2 if you only want hands and target attachment point 1 to (hand,left) in one field and (hand,right) in point 2 and also in same field... but if you double click on it again its in 2 fields :p and then you give it to the unit that needs it under (normal abilities) :grin: hope i helped you =)
