Ashenvale Assult

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This map is sort of a dungeon.Basicly you chose betwen mage and rogue and play with your friend you kill bosses (two of them) so final that finale gate open an area where when you step on you win.
If any of two heroes dies you lose. This map is supposed to be multiplayer because if you single play there is like a 5% chance that you will win.
Word of warning right when you start map (with level 3 you'll need to chose your spells) you are attacked by 4 or 5 units that you kill very easy.

Hello ElvishSlayer, I've just played your map, Ashenvale Assult and have a few comments about it. First of all, I must comment on your misspelling of Assault. You spelled it Assult, and I find errors in the title of any map quite infuriating. However, let's ignore that for now. I guess I can say that you gave a proper description with credits and all, but it would look much better with use of screenshots and BBCodes. Now, I admit, my expectations were quite low when I started the game in singleplayer, but my expectations were right on. You had no opening cinematic, no backstory, no quests to explain why these two heroes were in this forest. You just had a bunch of Murguls attack the players as soon as they finished loading. You should really have an opening cinematic that explains the whole story, and then ends with the Murguls attacking the Elves. Now, your player heroes. It's nice that you put in the effort to import some custom models for them, but their abilities are absolute crap. They're regular Warcraft 3! They don't even have modified tooltips to fit the situation! "The Warden hurls a flurry of knives, damaging nearby enemies." "Confuses the enemy by creating illusions of the Blademaster and dispelling all magic from the Blademaster." Those tooltips have no right to be in this map! Atleast change the heroes mentioned in the tooltips to High Elf Rogue, but changing the effects and the icon would be much more aesthetically pleasing. There was some synergy in the hero abilities, so I'll give you that. I liked how you've implemented items with attachments, but the tooltips for the items don't fit, and the items seem to have no real use for the heroes. There's also a spelling error in the Ancient Armor's description, it's "heroes", not "heros". The terrain is also quite bad. There is only one tile used, no height variation, no doodads other than trees in most areas. Put some effort into the terrain! Finally, the gameplay. The game is quite boring. It takes a long time to get a level, especially with a partner. Next, even though the player cannot reach the Naga Necromancer, he can use spells to kill her and her minions. I like how she could cast spells, but even with her spells, the boss fight was quite boring.
Overall, your map isn't very original or well polished. I see no reasons as to why this map should be accepted.

Hello there, played your map and I must say this is a badly executed Dungeon Crawl map. Here is my review to give more info:

Ashenvale Assault Review
[+] Good Points:
-None

[-] Bad Points:
-Terrain is bad. The tile you used doesnt fit that much and you didnt even give time mixing some more tile with it to make it beautiful. Terrain is empty, not that much doodads to give details to the terrain. Terrain is also flat, use the Raise/ Lower Tool to give different levels to the ground. Remeber the terrain is quite important on a Dungeon Crawl map because to give the feeling of real dungeon crawl map and I must say you didnt even met one of this requirements to make your map has the feeling of a Dungeon Crawl map.
-You didnt even put enough time to fix the description of the basic sword and is still using the description of the Kelen's Dagger item. No custom items used tht makes dungeon crawling more fun....
-Bosses are quite not interesting it is due to that, their skills are simple as it is. Mirror Images and such....
-Game has also no replayability values. How to give replayability values, make your map worth playing over and over by adding maybe secret areas, quests and such...
-Lacks cinematic showing how did they even get there, why are the naga attacking them and such....

[] Suggestions:
-Fix your terrain. I provided some tips at the above!
-Fix descriptions of the Basic Sword.
-Make bosses worth fighting, worth their title! When killed, give great rewards and not just potions and such....
-Put replaybility values in this game by putting different quests and maybe adding some secret spots to explore. It'll make your map worth exploring and playing over and over.
-Put an opening cinematic and a closing cinematic in this one.
Overall, a badly executed Dungeon Crawl map with bad terrain, doesnt even met the requirements of a decent dungeon crawl and so on. I am thinking on 0 to 1 on what to vote, I'll just go with 1/5. Also fix your map descriptions and such, use VK Map Description generator located at my signature and you got a typo in your map name.

Voting also for Rejection!
