When I give an item ability to a unit and choose Art - Target, it ends up showing up and then disappearing simultaneously, why? and how to get around this problem?

Make it an unit ability, change what you need to, then make it item ability again.

still only shows up when I am attacked the first time, or do i need to make it a unit ability the moment i create the custom ability?
