Arrow that don't fall of the enemy

I saw a in really cool game an effect of archer shooting off arrows but the arrow of that archer didn't fall immidiatly, they were holding onto the target for few seconds which were totaly cool.
1) Is it possible to be done?
2) If it's possible , can it still be done without placing an orb on the attacker?
3) I figured that if the attacker is placing an orb that arrow will not take the eagle of the attacker, so namely, is the only way to do it is via trigger (that check the angle between the attacker and the attacked unit) ?

basically this could only be done by triggers (afaik)
therefor you would have to detect when a unit takes physical damage
to be able to differentiate between physical damage and spell damage the attack must have an orb effect that places a buff on attacked units
you could do it without an orb effect if you can ensure, that the archers cant deal damage with abilities (unless you want to make these abilities stick an arrow into the target unit aswell)

So simple moves like SpiderAttack and such can't make it work? I didn't want something complecated up to level of using triggers, I think I will just give up on that effect. It should be noted that I downloaded an "item attachment" on this site called ICEBLADE, which, upon throwing, stuck on the targeted unit LOCATION for 10 seconds, which is awesome, but it only able to target the ground, not get stuck on the unit's body. Wish there was easier way.
