Reviews

Here's my review, final score is at the end:

Presentation: 5/5
Good description at the hive, and loading screen also gives enough information to play the game.

Terrain: 4/5
Terrain is pretty good, and also wide enough to give a clear view since you play with 3rd person camera, could use some more enviromnental doodads, like shrubs, flowers and grass.

Imported material: 4/5
There wasn't much imported material, but it was working perfectly.

Balance: 5/5
Both teams can choose from the same array of attacks, and each attack can be countered, it's just a matter of skill.
Originality: 4/5
Archer games are a bit common, but this one has a few twists that make it good and very fun.

Object editor work: 4/5
Everything is well described, and tooltips are good, the only problem is that it can be a little confusing for a beginner to know which spells are targeted (volley for example) and which aren't (blink, shoot, etc.).

Machine/net friendly: 5/5
Lag free as far as I could tell, needs more testing to be sure, though.

Spelling and grammar: 5/5
No spelling mistakes or grammar errors as far as I could tell.

Bug-free: 5/5
Map seems to be clear of bugs, after 3 games I couldn't find any.

Overall: 41/45 (passable grade = 22)
Voted for Approval.

There are 5 places where you give 5 points (5x 5 = 25)
And there are 4 places where you give 4 points (4x 4 = 16)
(25+16 = 41)

I think your overall score is a typo 36/45 or 41/45?
Any hoot, based on your review I might try this.

I do have my doubts about this statement:
  • Balance: 5/5
Both teams have the same attacks, it's just a matter of skill, perfectly balanced.
I would say the balance is bland based on what you have said.

Instead of Rock/Paper/Scissors we have Rock/Rock/Rock.

Variety and choices makes a game fun and replayable.

Oops, need to fix that, gotta remember to stop doing my reviews when i'm sleepy.

You misunderstood me (now that I checked it, it really looks like that, another reason to stop doing reviews while sleepy), what I meant is that all players can choose the from the same array of skills, and that there can be many different playstyles while still keeping the game balanced.
