You'd really need to go to the Idea Factory for ideas, but since I'm here, I'd suggest finding a style of map you like to play and then researching a little bit into what might not have been done with that style of map and making it with your very own twist.
I say a map style you like to play because that does give you a bit more incentive to finish it to try and make it better than the ones you like to play and, of course, determination is also key.
