Anti-Friend Shell - Warcraft 3 Bnet help needed

I don't know where to put this so i am requesting help over here, recently, my friend and i are unable to play without receiving huge amount of lags if one of us was the host. The wierd thing is that is only happens between the two of us, meaning that i would only be the one lagging in his game and vise versa. Any solutions?

Are you two playing on the same network? i.e. is he at your house when you two play, or vice versa?
