AnimatedEnviromentalEffectAurorasBv016

this is my 19th model, version B of the auroras I made earlier, it is teal, to blue, to purple. and has the same conditions as AnimatedEnviromentalEffectAurorasA. il just copy and paste the stuff that matters....

''the portrait file is the un animated variation, called:

UnAnimatedEnviromentalEffectAurorasBV016b.mdx

this is in case you wish to just paint the sky using triggers and dummy units in random patterns, and not be trapped by the way I animated it

-----EXECUTION------
Stand animation takes 40 seconds to complete.

stick to the size between 0.9 and 1.1
IF YOU EXCEED THE SIZE OF 1.1 the particles start to begin to gap. if you go below the size of 0.8 or 0.7 the particles start to over lap

IF YOU ARE USING THE UN-ANIMATED VERSION AS A DUMMY UNIT: RIG THE DEATH TIME SECONDS TO 40.001''

you may feel its just a recolor, but I actually took a few tries at this one to get the color just right, I feel I accomplished that. 16 tries? not so bad.

give credits, edit if you wish you have my permission, just don't distribute to other places as you're own ect ect. enjoy

yea, I know that, but its not possible with Warcraft 3 capability's.

not without killing you're computers with particle count lol, the more realistic, the higher the particle count. I did have them picture perfect, but it was 900 particles, at 380, its hard to make it look like real life man.

Im inspired by this image here:
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/members/183403-albums6929-picture77723.html

which is most similar to mine. mine are a tad repetitive, but if you don't like that you can always use the un animated one to do you're own painting

as for various colors, I feel they have sufficient variants as to be applicable. they gradually change from blues to greens to pinks and slowly but surely make long bands, which is hard to do, too be honest =)
im sorry you don't like them as much as I do =*( what do you suppose I do to make them better? if it can be done efficiently?

also forgot to mention that northern lights are normally super high in the sky, these ones have to be lower so we can see them, which makes them look different because its looking down on northern lights vrs looking up, that's another problem I had. so achieving 100% authenticity is not possible.

no because that emitter doesn't move right-- I tried.

that emitter looks terrible when you try to spam it the way I spammed these ones to make the curtain effect. have you even checked it in the editor? each one of these is huge, that screen shot is hyper zoomed out, with about 7 of them to look at in the distance, each one of those consumes an entire screen. and my monitor is 1900-1080 so it more then consumes any normal non wide screen monitor. the true sense of scale is lost in that screen shot.

Looks pretty nice, although I have no idea what are auroras (never seen one with my eyes). I like the blue and red ones. (Just judging by screenshot)

But, I think you should use a simpler model name >.> 'Aurora Rain Effect' seems to suit just fine

And you could do some fomatting with the description using BB Codes so that it's easier and more interesting to read. Just spltting some parts such as 'Info', 'How to use' etc..

to UgoUgo: I name them for sorting purposes, the names are purely for my ability to organize them. you may change their names if you like. glad you like it ugougo. not sure ''rain effect'' would feel right being there is no rain.

I still think making what you have in that picture remixer is basically impossible. but you could try painting something like that with the un-animated version. particle count gets too high if I try to go much more realistic. especially like you're picture there, with the thicker blankets of color over ribbons.
