Animated Loading Screen

I was playing Witcher 3, failed and died.
I reloaded the last check point, which brought me to the loadingscreen.

The loadingscreen is a very simple one, however it is animated.
The camera move slowly back and fourth horizontally.
I thought, this would be damn nice in wc3.

I do know that you can position the camera as that is how you can make portraits for models.
However I do not know if you can move it periodically.
Which made me believe that just modifying the loadingscreen.mdx should do the trick.

Has this been done before or is it impossible etc?

Perhaps it would be possible to add animations to loadingscreen.mdx to simulate a change in camera perspective. Or was that a stupid suggestion?

Movement is relative. A couple of maps have animated loading screens and using a model is fine but custom textures of that size take a lot of space, so you may rather constrain yourself to standard resources or not use a full picture. Particle emitters can be nice for example. Also, the animation starts only after the loading bar has been filled wholly. That's why it often cannot be appreciated unless someone requires considerably more time.

Exactly. It is pretty much universally considered not worth the effort and resources to implement one. Especially now with hosting robots which push you straight in game after loading finishes no one will ever see the animation.
