Okay, I've finally decided to take up the course on the WC3 World Editor after dreaming of my own TD for a year -.-

Anyway, I've done some background 'research' on JASS and modding stuff so I guess I'm fine with the basics (I've done mapping for HL before), but I find the tutorials here, err a bit messy, quite a number jump straight in and I'm not sure where to start off.

I've good background in C++ programming, a bit of Java, unfortunately, while I do understand some of the concepts of JASS while peeking in the editor, its not really much help when I don't know any of the library functions, syntax, etc.

So, well, basically, I would like to know where to start off with JASS, and how to incorporate it with heroes, skills, abilties - I tried downloading one of the spell winner samples, and my head's spinning already just for 1 spell -.-

Either way, thanks a lot for your attention :p Don't worry, I'll take time tinkering with the editor in the meantime.
