Well, where to start. I've been browsing the site for a while now, mostly to find models or icons for map projects. None of them were ever finished, though, and then I started playing World of Warcraft. Cue no time for playing Warcraft III, let alone making maps.

Recently I stopped playing WoW, and promptly returned to Warcraft. I mostly play RoC on Northrend, where my account name is Dain (Someone took that here though ). I figured I'd sign up and say hi, and maybe upload my map eventually. Even though it's hardly anything new and/or extraordinary.

Most of my experience comes from simply toying with the editor alone, and testing what worked and what didn't. Besides that, I've read through some tutorials whenever I found something that was particularly hard, but which I needed to incorporate in the map. Thus all I know is GUI, and even then, just basic stuff.

We get a myriad of questions posed to our boards every day on all kinds of Warcraft III issues, so your very question may have been answered in the past. A good place to start would probably be the World Editor Help forum if you are looking for map assistance. If not, then there are plenty of people that you might enjoying helping, or perhaps you'd rather find some forum to discuss your favorite topic. If you're working on a Warcraft map or are looking for a good one to play, the Map Section could be a great resource. Don't forget about all of the other resources as well. Links to their sections can be found at the top of any site page.
