Allow videos in albums

Right now, to add media to a project, you must create an album.

You cannot directly upload video files to that album.

Maybe that's okay, but you can embed a video link, like from youtube, to add a video to the album that way.

You can however, upload video files in forum posts, like so.

But you currently cannot use the url of said video in the 'Embed media' feature in albums. This is my suggestion, if uploading the video file directly to an album doesn't work as easily for some reason.

Basically I just wanna be able to easily post little videos to my project page to showcase it better

It seems to mostly work. I tried a .webm file and it wouldn't play on either firefox or chromium. I don't know if that was an issue at my end or not though.
But when I tried a .mp4 it worked just fine.

@Ralle, if it wouldn't be too much to ask, can you please do the same for pastebins?

It would be really great if we could use the URLs of uploaded video files (especially MP4) from our pastebins on threads, profiles, et cetera. But only if it's possible, that is. Thanks in advance!

Pastebin supports video but it seems rather hard to embed elsewhere, not sure why.

Albums do support videos too by the way. It's probably the best way to use video uploads here.

Okey-dokey. Will give albums a try... but not too soon-ish; I have no videos to upload at the moment.
