Matter of taste, I think. I personally find it more useful for model SFX to be fixed color so you can match them with ability/spell SFX.

As a longtime fan of both Wc3 & RA2... I'm loving this series. Even though I'm not sure how well it fits in alongside the standard Alliance buildings... but also it's obvious it doesn't mean to. Intentionally designed as a sort of conglomeration of both games, an 'Archon' if you will ; ). So I guess I can't complain too much. Very fun model.
