1) Search the forum. There's plenty threads reply to this question.

2) Examples?

3) Multi-board/Countdown Timer. Search for them in your triggers list.

Here is the hero glow model:

Here is the tutorial for attatching a special effect:
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7314

The "pink walls" I belive is the pathing map. It shows where a unit can or can't walk. Pink means that ground units can't walk there. Green means that air units can't walk there. Gray means that no unit can walk there at all.

Multiboard tutorial:

Or to simplify stuff, a Leaderboard tutorial:

I belive the cooldown thing is countdown timers.
I only made one and that was so long ago that I can't remember how I made it work. I'll take a look at it and post later unless somebody else already have.

I got it now.
Click the Variables button (the one with an X on) and create a new variable.
Name it Timer or something and set the variable type to Timer.
Now make these two actions in trigger editor.
  • Countdown Timer - Start Timer as a One-shot timer that will expire in 30.00 seconds
  • Countdown Timer - Create a timer window for Timer with title Time Left
