Actor Udo Kier died (Yuri from C&C is gone)

Yeah, sad news for Command and Conquer fans who liked, played and modded Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge (including me) from 2000 and 2001. Yuri is my favorite character and the only one from any game even today. Well, I saw some people here recreated few models from YR in our model section which means that some still play that game and perhaps do not know about this. Many people and fans around pay tribute to Udo and his character Yuri.

Funny thing is even though Tiberian Sun is more close to Dune in overall concept, the main villain of Red Alert 2 (Yuri) has a Russian name akin to Dune's (Vladimir Harkonnen).
Nice touch with the actor being German and the character Russian, like how Vladimir Ilylich Ulyanov (AKA Lenin) wasn't 100% Russian although Yuri is more Rasputin-like rather than proletariat revolutionary inspired but the communism thing is there in the world wide psychic control ("be one with Yuri").

He was a good actor, rarely did he ever have a lead role (from what I recall), but he was always a presence. He had a very iconic voice, and it was a shame he didn't have more roles.

Oh yeah good notice, you know some things it seems.
But that actor Nicholas Worth who played Premier Romanov also in RA2 and YR died in 2007. He also played some general in Tiberium Sun.
Adam Gregor who played General Vladimir in RA2 also died 2023.

Well lately he did not get lead role, but he had some before. Example was in 70s when he portrayed Dracula and Frankenstein. I have seen in in some other films as lead role.
