Accessing a variable outside the scope

I'm making a kind of hero, who are using some variables.
These variables are made in GUI, and are not inside any scope.
Now, 'm then making a spell, which needs to read these varibales in order to execute certain things, according to the variables.
All of my spells, which are made in vJass, uses scopes, so i don't have to worry about variables overlapping each other.
But i don't know how to acess a variable, made in GUI, from my vJass scripts.
