You should import the portrait model something like:

[modelname].mdx
[modelname]_portrait.mdx
we both have the same problem.. but
I dont quiet understand what you mean by that.
we have the file (x)_Portrait.MDX and imported it to the Wc3Import Directory
but in the object editor there isnt a spot that says Art - Instert Model Portrait
or w/e it should be.
the 'Don't know how to import a model? Click Here!' guide doesnt cover it.

You don't need a field to choose a portrait model. Import the files correctly and the World Editor will recognize which file is the portrait. The only time you need to manually choose a portrait model is when editing/creating destructibles, I believe.

Example:
Units\Creeps\Assassin\Assassin.mdx
Units\Creeps\Assassin\Assassin_portrait.mdx

World Editor will recognize the "_portrait" and set the model sharing the same path ("_portrait" excluded) to be part of the couple.
