What is ASOW?
ASOW is an AOS type map based on the concept of actual Warcraft 3 storyline. But of course with a few modifications to the plot, the scene is set in a war with The Alliance (NE & HU) trying to take down The Frozen Throne while The Horde (UD & ORC) are trying to burn down The World Tree. Campaign hero models, names, and voices are used to give a better feeling of the scene!
What does ASOW feature?
* The Ability to train all of the units used in a melee game, and upgrade all their upgrades, research all their new traits. Including a few bonus ones.
* A vote system in the beginning of the game, allowing you to vote for either Standard (everyone picks) or Random Heroes (only random heroes are allowed). Incase of a tie or 60 second timeout, Standard is activated by default.
* Item sets. Similar to the recipes in DOTA, you can collect items which fuse to become a single item. However in ASOW the item sets are rather basic and limited to 4, one for each race: Phoenix Guard (HU), Moon's Reflection (NE), Berserker's Might (ORC), and Frozen Grief (UD).
* Hidden shops. I'll spoil it for you (not that it's any hard to find), but this is where the item sets are located. Top and bottom middle, there are high level turtle creeps.. Which after killing will reveal a figure named "Forbidden Artifacts Dealer"
* Very 'realistic' terrain, set to snugly fit in with the scenary of The World Tree and The Frozen Throne
* A boat and river system, which allows you to fight on land AND water.
* Much more.. play to find out what your missing out on!
* 4 campaign heroes, including Jaina, Malfurion, Sylvanas, and Grom.
Additional Information
-ASOW does not have a site yet, but will in the very near future. To keep up to date on version, check the site when it is opened!
-ASOW was largely based on the map Footmen vs Grunts, and most of the map was remade from scratch, credits should be given to the original author.
-Please help spread the map by hosting, and getting more people into it! It's hard when noone joins because its not called DOTA.
