a small question

i know that uploading models or other resources on hive, that are exported from other games (especially wow), is forbidden.

but i wanted to know if uploading a map that contains exported resources is allowed (not for the purpose of uploading models, but a real map, that i desire to make and that happens to use some exported models). of course i will protect my map if necessary.

Well, if this map contains illegal exports from any game it can not be uploaded to the Hive Map Database. And this is the incorrect place to ask this question.

do you mind telling me what is considered a legal export and what not? (and where should i have posted this?) thx

If it is export from any game other than wc3 you cannot upload it, but say you find a model in a wc3 map you want to use, you can export it and use it. And if possible try to find the creator of the model.

All maps must give credit to the authors of material included in the map that is not made by the maker. Pirated or stolen content is not permitted.
