A quck lesson in armor types.

When playing ladder be sure to counter w/the right attack types.
Do your homework and know what is weak against what.
It may seem crazy, but sometimes its better to counter melee w/casters.
Check out this replay if you dont know what i mean.

there are 6 armor types and 6 attack types
armor: unarmored: most spellcasters have unarmored armor. but also units like huntress and gargoile. they take more dmg from piercing and siege attacks.

light armor : the armor for most of the flying units. kill them with pierce or magic attack

medium armor: ranged units like spiders and rifleman. blow the away with melee but siege, magic and pierce have less effect.

heavy armor: the melee units armor magic attacks needed here (magic air is best : chim griff wyrms or casters

hero armor: well no explanation needed only that its reduces every attack

fortified armor : takes reduced damg fomr everything exept siege. siege owns fortified siege is mostly fortified 2 so kill those f*cking tanks with siege

the attack types are just the same
normal kicks medium armor (melee units)
piercing kills unarmored and light armor (archers ...)
siege kills fortified and unarmored (glaive trowers)
chaos kills all armor types well (strong creeps or summons)
magic kills light and heavy armor and is gosu against ethernal ( etheral = spirit walker)

nope heros have the attack of Hero Attack i just checked it in the editor but i think t's like chaos it just doesn't do full damge against Fortifed armour

metamorphasised demon hunter does chaos damage. so does the doom guard (the pit lord's ultumate). i think pulvurize does chaos damage too.

ive done 512 damage w/the blade master, 5 +15 claws of attack, and an orb of frost. this was a critical strike also. His average damage was around 120 or so. This was on the map silverpine forest during a ladder ffa game.

That would be called the tri-hero nuke. I find that tactic pretty fun, but i usually get a spirit walker or two involved

yeah playing with heroes is the big succes of warcraft 3. without the heroes this game would have been 10% of what it is now. immaging no hero arenas or stuff

i forgot to say that the tri hero is a decent tactic w/ plenty of good items. but it is counterable pretty easily depending on the player. If you try this out i recomend you creep a lot and always have a scrool of town portal, i also recomend you have a few support units come along w/your heros and usually the tri hero nuke has a support hero. When i tri hero nuke i use far pisser, tauren cheftian, and the shadow hunter and also bring some spirit walkers because spirit link and disenchant is very useful when tri hero nuking.

I think that someone would have made wannabe-heros then. Maybe not as good as they are now but still some heroish ones,

i think it would be cool if all the units leveled up. but basic units can only level up twice and only get a stat bonus w/no skill upgrades. Ohh yeah and that replay that i showed you was a fun game cuz he was a hacker. Owning a hacker is quite satisfying. You can tell because his name was dark purple when he chatted, but he was light blue as his color. that hack is the name spoof which makes me suspicious of map hacking just because people dont usually just name spoof.

what race you played against and how did the game go? because if been defeated once by a gosu bm in ladder ffa on silverpine forest. i was human, killed everyone even the orc. but then he builded base again and killed me with bm and wyf.

ive only played on silverpine forest twice on ladder and won both times on azeroth.
