Hi, I have been lurking these forums for a while, but this is my first post so far.
I have a suggestion for this fine site of yours; how about creating a special forum for us newcomers (or "noobs", as we are oh so frequently reffered to)? "Why would we need a special forum just for that?" you're probably asking yourselves by now, but if you think about it it's pretty obvious actually (well, to me at any rate). What do noobs do? We ask questions. And what do you "pros" hate? Us noobs filling up the boards with stupid, noobish questions of course. So how about you create a special place where we newcomers can discuss our issues without swamping down the "pro" forums? It could also double as a general "greeting place" where first time posters can write those "Hi, I'm new here" posts that are bound to pop up quite frequently.

Now, I know there's a Tuturial Forum, but not all querries are answered there, and sometimes you have small, not-very-cruical questions that can quickly be answered without the need to go through the process of writing an entire tuturial.

So, to sum it up, I'm just wondering if you could consider the possibilty of creating a noob board. That's all.

Thanks for reading all this.

First of all, thank you for not going "OMG WTF" when you first get on the site.

I'm afraid however, that Afro is right. However it doesn't mean that you can't ask questions or things. if you're not sure what you can and cannot do, I'd say don't be afraid to ask someone. Just don't go up the wall asking "HOW DOO I DOO THIS THINGY HERE NOW?" and approach it the way you posted this suggestion.

Just so you know, you're well on your way to not being a newbie around here

OK, sounds like a plan. :)

The whole reason I asked about this was because I didn't want to alienate myself from you veterans, but if asking basic questions isn't something that's frown upon I guess the whole concept of a newcomers board is kinda obsolete.

Thanks for answering my queries. :)
