Changed bases of few spells, and mobs orders. In the begin it feels pretty much lagless to me, but i haven't tested further than brothel.

Reduced level requirement for Spirits of Earth spell to 3, and increased duration to 15 seconds. Also added an extra effect which will multiple damage of critical attacks by 2 + level of Spirits of Earth ability.

Earth Elemental totem is now learnable at level 7, and it's damage will be scaled with amount of spell power Skazz gain from items. Passive spell power will not increase damage of Earth Elemental. It's duration is also increased to 20 seconds.


Lag problems solved.
More sounds added.
Several Item and mob spell improvements.
Fixed bugs noticed by Fr0ggE.


- Added second level to Ancient Tower.
- Changed small rockfury camp, into fortress.
- Added swamp area behind rockfury fort.
- Three new quests added, found in rockfury fortress.
New Item type and Ability:
- Summon raptor hatchling.
New mobs:
- Frost Witch
- Flame Bringer
- Stoneclaw Raptor

Fixes:
- Raptor egg will be correctly removed, upon completing the quest.
- Raptor pet ability is changed, and raptor is being summoned.
- Inventory has been fixed, you will not be losing items anymore.
- Cinematic can be skipped without consequences.
- Fixed hero respawn on some places.
- Fixed route of bandit messenger.
- Increased health and damage of bandit messenger and taurens.
- Removed ability from spear, until i fix it.
- Changed ability of gnolls mystics.
- Fixed camera issue at all screens (cooking, equipment/inventory, custom status)
- Fixed tauren's Earth and storm spell, also made it usable by all tauren casters.
- Instead of training spell at spear, hero will get his status increased by 5 each.



- Added new Area.
- Intercepted Ancient Tower quest, with kind of long optional chain quest.
- New items added.
- New item type (drums) Temporary boosts.
- Several new quests added.
- Several new soundtracks imported, same authors.

Few more quests are about to be added and several items, before continuing on Ancient Tower. First of all current bugs have to be found and fixed.

You can chose to pick 4 different active abilities while passive will be passively
learned after you train base ability *Earth Shock or Heart Strike*

- Goblin girls (dancers) voices fixed.

- Health and damage of mob's spells increased.

- Mc Sugix now has all of his items to sell.
- Mc Tradeblak moved from south of mandala village to inn.
- Bear cub now will be vulnerable after taming.
- Removed Agnia's spell, that was mistake anyway.
- Fixed Skazz's animations.
- Added shield models.
- Small changes to shield block rating (previews only)
- Added several items at i hope right places, to easier the game.
- Added 2 quests after "A Diferent Job".
- Small changed to shield models, size increase.
- Global hp/mp increase at item bonuses.

That will be enough changes for this update, hopefully rest of Ancient Tower and one extra zone will come in one or two weeks and that will be end of all Earthsongs.



Quest Fixes:
1) The Firewing

-Captain McGreedy will now spawn after you complete quest at Agnia, instead after death of Aragnia's shade. That will prevent teleporting back to Mandala.

Abilities:
Disappearing of Hearth Strike ability hopefully fixed.

Terrain:
Fixed -
Several sound tracks, camera bounds and "Entering Messages".




Lags are even more suppressed.
Hopefully map will be fully entertaining at this point.
Please report all places where you stuck, quest bugs or lag appearances.

Actually this is third part :) Mitula's Seal is second part, and Tribok invasion is first part. Earthsong I has not, probably going to be rejected.However im lazy on that one, tomorow planing to put 10 mins into bug fixes at Mitula's Seal and just after that turning to Rise of Spirits, as i said need to fix cooking, add bunch of stuff to ancient tower, and check what should be done to make gamplay more interesting.

hey bro! really really nice!! sadly after 15min it started to lag when casting spells and finally i got an error. i turned the graphics down low but there was no improvement. do u know how i can fix that? bless!

Ugh, i had lag on lava burst knock back if it is what you think of, but it was not because of that spell, i turned knock back part of spell off, and there still was lag. I removed spirit link ability from shamans and lag has been reduced. So i think lag is coming from enemies and their orders. I will do my best to fix it, probably you had lag at fulborgs, they just have two spells and one of them is direct cast. Those things were not problem in Mitula's Seal, seriously i got no clue what is happening, but ill fix it somehow...
Try keeping settings on high, and resolution on low :) But dont go under 600*800*32 .

If that quest fails, there is no sirup and no advance in game. Only thing i can do is make Loth doesnt come back untill you open chest :S

great that u try to fix that,.. i cant wait to play this well, unfortunately its impossible to play it right now even though my pc isnt that bad =((
 
Tested new version.
Good: many leaks, lagg have been fixed.
Bad: long respawn time I think it is 18 seconds or something like that. This is not aos u should have respawn in 5 or 10 sec and never change it. And I think to u have only one life, what is really really bad, in long playing maps like this u should not have life limit.

Hey strahinja,

A few bugs to iron out:
-Two quest items were not removed from my inventory upon completion of the quest: the "jade scroll" which talks about the exploding stuff in the southern bandit camp, and the first "essence of corruption"...I don't know if you have to wait until your inventory has all four in it for them all to disappear, because I haven't got that far yet...but if that's the way it works, that's bad (takes up too much inventory space, just like the four runes did in the mountains)
-I just sailed to the area with the temple of mitula, and zumba wants me to bring her a man. I went to get dumba, and nothing happened...I tried sleeping at the inn first, and then getting him, and that didn't help either. I'm going to keep playing and see if doing some other things in the area will somehow trigger it...but it seems broken at the moment
-When I sailed back to the starting area the first time, the camera changed correctly. Then I rested in the inn, tried sailing back again, and the camera didn't change....which was really bad because my camera was locked in a different area. Luckily I clicked randomly and my hero walked to the east (new area) and then the camera shifted.
-A few special effects aren't being destroyed correctly: the chieftain of the rockfury orcs has one, and then goblin who gave you the fungal horror quest didn't lose hers, either.
-trying to figure out what item goes in what slot is a real pain once you've equipped most of the slots. Some of them are clear, but some aren't. I had to slowly, one at a time, unequip different items, then try equipping the thing that dropped, etc. That should be streamlined a little...maybe if you try to equip something that you already are wearing, you switch, and put on the new thing and the old thing appears in your inventory?

-There doesn't seem to be a way to rescue the little bear. It just sits there, and you can't interact with it. I tried clicking on it and hoping it would have some "talk to bear" thing, but no.
-I still can't get dumba to do anything but lay there sleeping...I think the game is stuck now, and I can't make any progress....sort of sad, I wanted to beat it.

Yeah, there is no reason to make someone wait for over 1 minute to respawn....in a single player game. DOTA is one thing because there are other players, and there is action happening, but in a single player RPG, just insta revive and charge the gold.

hey mon!

i´m back from holiday and played the map again.. nice that it doesnt lag that bad so its possible to play..

but after sailing from rockfury clan i sailed back to mandala village accidently.. but from there i couldnt return because there is no sailerman anymore =( do i just dont find it??

There should be captain, in village called Mitula's Sanctuary, he can take you on ship and sail back to Mandala village. Until you find captain keep going south. Those quests should be working, i think. If you find quest you cannot complete, or some other kind of bug. Please report.

Hey strahinja,

The changes are great! More items, less things are buggy...the new Rockfury Keep and swamp areas are GREAT!

A few new bugs in new version:
1. When I triggered the first cinematic with Agnia, I hit ESC, and it canceled me out of the cinematic (which I was hoping for). The bug part is that it then did not update the quests (completing the first, and giving you the second quest "Tears of Aragnia"). I'm guessing it's all part of one trigger, and hitting esc makes you skip to the end...perhaps the quest stuff should be done at the beginning of the trigger, or something else? .........Anyway, this may be a bug with every cinematic, I don't know if they are all skippable, because I stopped trying to do it after this happened the first time
2. The inventory broke. I unequiped some items, and then I was unable to re-select them to get them back. (see screenshot)
3. The StoneClaw Egg (Quest Item) stays in your inventory even after you complete the quest and get the raptor-summon item
4. The raptor summon item has a MUCH MUCH too short cooldown, and also....it summons furbolg warriors! (see screenshot)
5. The "line of fire" spell that the gnoll wizards shoot at you....lag really hard
6. When you exit the temple of Taya, the camera should snap to your hero (instead it goes to the start of the are)....not a big deal, but easy to fix
7. After you defeat the daughter of Taya, the "Cult of Jade" quest doesn't update and tell you to talk to Agnia...which is the next step
8. Camera after you sail south with Agnia isn't very well centered in that brief cinematic
9. Dumba now successfully comes to the south with you (still laying down the whole time), but when you go talk to Zumba, clicking the "talk to her" button doesn't do anything....so this quest is still broken
10. Killing bears now drops both Bear Flank AND Raptor Flesh

I played all the way through again, did all the quests, and those were the only bugs/improvements that I saw (aside from the usual grammar and spelling).
Good job!

I would also recommend increasing Skazz's movement speed slightly

Yeah, I thought I corrected all the brothel misspellings. I will check again all those places where word brothel is appearing and fix it, but not before i make some other changes or additions. Thanks for reminding me.
But however borthel sounds like a name, maybe i will keep it, and change correctly spelled brothels into borthel.
Also, how do you find escorting Agnia quest? Hard or easy, i mean, should her health or rege be increased is it easy for her to die?
If she dies, game is over.

I thought the quest to escort Agnia was very easy...and she even ran off without me for about 5-6 seconds at the beginning. If she gets hurt, you can use your earth elemental to heal her....but to be honest I just slaughtered all the enemies with spells. I realized that the key to your maps is to buy a huge stack of health and mana potions and then just spam your spells at cooldown. There is nothing to buy yet, aside from potions, (except for a few cheap ingredients), so potions galore.

I played it twice and she didn't even get close to dying.

Oh yeah, in the last furbolg area that Agnia visits (the little village on the right) there are 6 furbolgs, but only 3 wake up to fight you. You get to kill half of them, then wake up the other half and kill them. Maybe if they all woke up at once it would be harder.

I will reduce direct damage of lava burst spell, what about spending gold, should i put some armor and permanent hp/mp elixirs to shops? Or something else?
I thought to make ingredients cheap so you can make plenty of food to eat. I might make some ankhs, to be sold by some kind of priests, to set up condition of respawn.
Please state what would you like to be buying at cities.

I am also thinking about one kind of long chain, that will start at Mitula's Sanctuary and lead player to area north west from rockfury, which i will add eventually. Now thing is, should that quest intercept main quest line and request it's completion before player advances to ancient tower, or it should be an optional quest allowing player to skip it fully?

Hmmm....
You could either add very strong items that are also very expensive...so you have to save up to get them...
Or you could add "upgrade items"...they don't take up inventory spots, but they increase your health or mana bars permanently, or give you more movement speed, that sort of thing.

But a big thing to fix is the inventory system. It works pretty well, but see #2 above. Oh, I never uploaded the screenshots. I put them here.

hey mon! nice improvements, i really enjoyed it!
but 1st: after killing "patak" there is no way to not get killed by the grunt bodyguards, because the critter item gets lost.
and 2nd: i couldnt continue playing when sailing with the captain greedy cause i started at the south of the map -> couldnt save agnia, path to her from south is blocked =(( hope u can fix that, i really wanna finish this map once =/
 
I do not support u any more but I like ur work in this map, first two more or less. Moderators should rate it now because its much better then what it was on start and totaly can do more that just approved. I would say 5/5.

Btw: here is idea, do entire campain just work a little more on triggered spells and this will be one of the best campaings. So far u have 3 maps not includin epilogue and prologue. So thats my suggestions

I played it again from the start but only for about an hour, i dont have much time this week. anyway, these r the things i encountered:

DIDNT CARE ABOUT:
--whirlwind shows "0 0 0 0 0"s
--when disguised, the rat my hero became wears an pretty loooong "wooden stick"
--flesh has nice icon, but lemon, berries, etc.not
--2 "different job" quests, when reporting to margret quest is completed but it says "find those bandits and show them explosives"
--backpack is not nessecary (maybe later in game)
--burger restores mana instantly and health over time
--opening bandits chests have no effect and nothing is inside
--earth shock and other skills doesnt improve from rank 2 to rank 3 (i got level 9 and im not 100%sure, maybe im wrong)

DIDNT LIKE:
--this bandit messenger should stop running around after he is getting killed, hes too hard in the beginning and when running away into the borthel he is killing the guys in there
--the physical damage is much too weak compared to the spells, maybe its getting better with better items later on
--many spells are similar, some have wrong description when choosing
--explainations about "earth power" etc. should be described. i have no idea what my passive spell is doing when the earth power is increased by 20 or 30. besides i think the other passive skill which increases damage after every attack is much better than this one.
--when already wearing one type of equipment and want to change it to another one from the inventory i dont know which one i should put off to put on the new one, maybe u add an information like "u already wear..." and add a fixed name to every type like "head/hat, weapon, helmet,..."

---the ability menu is not consistant:
- the spell "ancentral spirit" says increases damage after every attack and has the lightning image, when looking on the skill at the hero the spells name is "blessing of earth" and improves earth power after every spell.
- "spirits of nature" spell and "elemental wrath"-spell have exactly the same effect (in the description in the menue) didnt test it on hero.
- i didnt know which spell is passive, which one can be chosen at what time etc.

Bugs

Hopefully i only have 1 bug currently to report
when you check the ability page the ancestral spirit powers your damage every
attack . but when you train the earthshock instead of powering your attacks it powers your earthen skills.otherwise a greatgame 5/5:ogre_hurrhurr::goblin_good_job:

i didnt respawn when i got killed. i was level 9 in the bandit outpost east from the borthel where the explosives are =( i should save the game now and then =((

Are you 100% sure that you are playing last version? I have died my self on that location, this morning, more than once, and every time i was revived at borthel's monument. So it looks strange, but it could be some unexpected bug, make sure you are playing last version, save game few minutes before that place and die again, if you are not revived i will start looking for bug.

ok this time it worked fine and the revive timer appeared(i tried 3 times). but im sure i played the same and newest version. anyway, i encountered another bug: after telling agnia about rockfury chieftain, the "den mother"-quest is available again! the tiger-pelt quest too
+ my base ability gets lost somehow when i wanted to take the rune. i see u wanted to fix that but it seems the problem still there
+ i got level 17 and it says: passive ability increased. but it didnt =(

Ok, i will check that thing about abilities. Den Mother and Tiger quests are repeatable quests, once you complete den mother it will be available after 15 seconds, for Tigers you will have to wait little longer. The idea was about to make you kill more mobs and level up.
Passive skill, doesnt increase above level 3, because there is no higher level. I will put condition on that however, to stop showing you false messages.
Besides, i will wait for more bugs to be found before i update map.

True, that happens to be nasty one, tho to fix it i would probably have to remake whole zone bounds stuff, so until it becomes something that prevents players from gaming i think it would be best to remain that way :)
Try finding some more, of "must be fixed" type. Thanks

And yea :) On later zones that bug will not be usable much, those zones are little differently connected, most are pretty much separated or there are some obstacles in the way which you have to remove first, after that you will be able to pass even without using inventory.

Also, if there is some kind of interesting quest you would like to see, i am here to read and if its possible get it to the map.
What i mean is, you provide idea and i fit it to the story somehow.

Woow,thanks bro. Unfortunately i havent played the game so much (but i will :)), so i dont know what kind of quests are in the leater game.But here is some ideas:

1. You get on some flying vehicle,which will flying around an area automatically, and you have to throw bombs etc. to the creeps or its buildings. (like in wow ;D)

2. The questgiver goes from A to B ,but mobs are ceep it hunting so you have to protect it. (you know like in wow :D )

3. You are walking on a forest. Suddenly bandits apperars then throw you a net -
Cinematic* you wakes up in a prison,and have to get out of there. Something like that.

I have many more ideals but is enought now thought. :ogre_haosis:

That third suggestion, i cant apply that, i had it on my previous map but it was not something so i removed it. Story of this map is less or more completed, there is enough place for several quests, but that prison thing, that would ask for more its hard to apply sorry.
About flying, yes i exactly know what you are thinking of..Hellfire Peninsula bombing demons, i could make something like that and there is a room for it, tho i will have to get flying monster and animations for Skazz it will take some time, but that can be done. Escort quest is there already, you will be escorting Agnia on long A->B distance and in mean while she will provide an extra quest, you will see that when you get there. However, if i add Medani fortress (i left some space thinking of it) there will be some more quests including escort. Make sure you are playing last version, talk to Agnia has been removed upon starting of her escort mission. Good Luck, dont die :)

You might want to try it (previous map) since it is everything that has happen before "intro cinematic":
