The year is 2020 and corporations rule the world. In America two reign supreme, the Avlon Corporation and Svynx Incorporated. They know what you eat for breakfast, where you bought that hockey club last week and which side of the bed your wife sleeps on. Privacy is a long lost term. If you protest or raise your voice you loose your tongue, if you're a good citizen, you get rewarded. Almost everyone lives their lives, washes their car and goes to work. Almost everyone remains silent and almost everyone folds under the rule of the corporations.
Everyone but one...

Jason Adams, recognized computer genius and a former employee of the Avlon Corporation has just finished "the hideout", a massive underground compound where he's planning to start a revolution. An excellent few have been selected to join him, one of those is you.

You are for some reason at the 50/50 club on 5th avenue enjoying yourself when suddenly, the light go out...

The Flick
The flick is a telecommunication manipulation device developed in secret by Jason Adams, that can change signals being sent from or to a any electronic device within the Flicks operational range (100m). The Flick is a modified mobile phone, when the user starts the phone he or she will see a list of all devices within the operational range. The user will then apply a filter that changes the signal coming to or from the selected device. The Flick can also be equipped with a Distributor. The Distributor links the Flick with any other requested electronic device, making the signals going to or from that device go through the Flick's state of the art firewall, protecting the user from being signal traced.

Avlon Corporation
The Avlon corporation was founded in 2010 and is an American multinational corporation. It is most know for developing and selling the Avlon personal computer series, computer software, the Avlon phone series and the OS2. According to statistics from December 2019, the Avlon Corporation had 127,331 (public number) employees.

Svynx Inc.
Svynx Inc. was founded in 2009 and is an American multinational corporation. It is most know for developing and selling the mk2 super computer series and for it's Genetics research which resulted in the first ever successful cloning of a human being in 2018, since then four clonings have taken place. According to statistics from January 2020, Svynx Inc. had 27,511 (public number) employees.

OS2
The OS2 is a telecommunications system that can transfer and understand all sorts of data be it sound, video, photo, text, code, etc. It was developed by Alexander Edwin Jonestown and his employees in the Avlon Corporation in 2016. The OS2 controls society. Once operational it can do anything from switching the traffic lights to dispatching a police unit to a specified location. It possesses artificial intelligence never before seen by mankind. The Avlon Corporation has installed the OS2 in 1381 cities in 32 countries.

Note: Once this is approved I will go a lot deeper into these things. There will be a information database sub-forum where every little detail will be explained, for those who are interested.

Genre: Modern/Realistic
Setting: The story takes place in the near future. You get to explore the New York city of 2020, where the corporations monitor your every move.
Players: This roleplay will start once four players have shown that they're interested and would join. There will be no limit on how many members that can join the roleplay but if we get to many we'll start a waiting list.
Point: The point of this roleplay is to be creative, how do you move around a city as a rebel when your being watched 24/7? How do you avoid getting caught when your enemy knows exactly what you would do?

Rules
1. Follow the RPdom rules.
2. The storyteller(s) has absolute authority over everything. If I say you can't do something, you can't do it and if I say you have to edit something, then you have to edit it.
3. Organize your posts with paragraphs and keep them as grammatically correct as possible. Keep OOC and IC text separated.
4. Tell the members of the roleplay when you're going to post, if you can't post immediately.
5. Short posts should be avoided if possible.
