DesserSiege version 1.00

The Game (DS version 1.00)

MAIN:There are 15 waves of demons for you to survive. The waves start from three demons and in each wave, the demons increase in number.

CRITTERS: A critter spawns 30 seconds at the start of the game and 30 seconds after each critter/transformed critter kills. If a critter spawns, you are given a time to kill it. If you are not able to kill the critter, you will lose the game. Critters also transform into a demon when they reach the transport circle. Do not let any critter reach the transport circle.

ALLY: Your ally starts spawning in the second level of demons to aid you in battle. The spawn levels up from grunts, raiders, and taurens. They also level up in terms of upgrades according to the total number of kills they have.

SPECIAL EVENTS: There are two special events in the game.
1. KILL THE DOOMGUARD. In this event, you are to kill the doom guard. A timer indicates when this event will occur. If you are able to kill the doomguard, a powerful item will be dropped. If you are not able to kill the doomguard, you will not recieve anything. Here, all units (except the doomguard and your hero) are paused. Timers are also paused to give you time to kill the doomguard.

2. THE TWO TOWERS. You are not obliged to do this event. This event unlocks after 7 minutes. Here, everything is not paused--units, timers, and other game events. There is a circle of power somewhere in the map which is inactive as the game starts but will be activated after the specified time. The circle of power will transport you where this two demons are located. Kill them both for a satisfying reward.

DEFEAT
There are 3 ways in which a player can be defeated:
1. HERO LIVES. You are only given three times to re-spawn.
2. KILL THE CRITTER. There is a specified time a player should kill the critter whose aim is to leave the desert to bring havoc in the outside world. Some critters will not directly approach the transport circle specially when there are too many demons you and your ally are fighting.
3. LEAVING CRITTERS. All 10 critters have transformed into a demon and leave the desert.

VICTORY.
Only if a player survives 15 waves of demons.

:D
Desert siege is a defense/mini-game type of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne map. Your objective is to never let a single demon pass through the Transport Circle.

Gameplay

-There are 15 levels to surpass in this map.

-Critters will spawn alongside with the creeps. These critters are disguised demons. They walk fast and are small so that you will not be a ble to catch and kill them. As they reach the transport circle, they transform into a demon and will be transported somewhere. You should not let them reach the transport circle.

-Kill creeps and critters to get golds so you can buy items. Some items can be upgraded up to 4 times. (I will be updating this map so other items can be upgraded, too.)

-you are only given three lives. If you have consumed these three, you will lose the game.

-The map has three difficulty levels: easy, normal, and difficult.

Verdict
+ Critter idea
+ Events
+ Custom spells
- Custom spells don't exactly go together
- Generic defense map
- Polishing (Colorization, inconsistent tooltips)

Have I ever told you how bad that font you always use for loading screen is?
Don't spam the screen with millions of timers, just put them all in a multiboard.
Colorize in-game text (not completely, just keywords) for better readability.
"Abetter" has missing DIBTN. Oh and it's not active.
The Far Seer's spells don't really seem to go together, ice shards, summoning wolves??
Every spell tooltip is written in a different style.
Arrange the items in "Upgrader" properly, put the same ones next to each other.

Oh my god chubemocboc... octuple post. The moderators will kill you... There is an EDIT button for a reason!
Back to the map.
Desert Siege is a singleplayer hero defense in which the player must kill the demons attacking. Periodically, a demon will be sent disguised as a critter to reach the circle of power. The concept is okay, but the map is quite short, and the abilities, while not regular Warcraft 3 abilities tweaked (except for Feral Sprit), they aren't the best. Abettor seems like a very OP single target spell. It allows critters in the beginning to be easily killed, and the Doom Guard killed without much of a fight. The battles against the attacking demons weren't special in any way. They had decent health and damage. They provided gold when killed. Some of them cast spells, but I'd really like to see a semi-boss thrown in with the regular creeps with good looking spells. Defending the base is pretty bland, even with the critters added in. Also, once you kill the Infernal, you become invincible. You should reduce the stat gain to like thirty, not one hundred. Plus, you have around one to two waves to show off your stats. I'd like a longer game with more items, cooler enemies, and more events.
