VoidWalker Pack

This bundle is marked as pending. It has not been reviewed by a staff member yet.
A pack of 4 VoidWalker models! Commissioned by @Ian The Red and requested to be uploaded for all to use :D

Original idea was meant as a replacement for vanilla creeps.

Enjoy and leave feedback!

You can commission me for WC3 models and animations here on HIVE or on my Discord: maxim3dstuff

Update #1: Added a sound to birth animation (all 4)

VoidWalker (Armored) (Model)

VoidWalker (Elder) (Model)

VoidWalker (Lesser) (Model)

VoidWalker (Regular) (Model)

Could you add the "Attack Two" animation to the VoidWalker Lesser model?

From my point of view, the normal attack doesn't really do the model justice. :|
But when I saw the "Attack Two" animation on the others, I regained hope. They look great! :D

Good work as always. A little SD+ for me but that's commissions for ya. I really love the clear 'evolution' between the 3; very cool to see modelers doing more than just slapping stuff onto a model to make it "elite" or removing stuff to make it "lesser".
Wouldn't say it's that much of an SD+, there's lots of polygons coming from the "outline" being just a copy of the whole body
I think if I simplify them a little more, they could easily pass as some of the new TFT models in terms of quality

I did say only "a little" 😅

I think it's tricky because you're right; some TFT models might compare to this. My immediate comparison point, though was the Water Elemental, compared to which this (even the simplest one) definitely seems much more detailed than. Even the Voidwalker (comparing it to a creep rather than to another elemental), I think shows a similar disparity. (Voidwalker is like a glorified Shade with some add-ons). And that's not looking at the Ancient one.

Again, this is just my $0.02, and I'm not even sure I'm right (in my own head). If you want me to lay off I can. 😅

wc3 models with detailed and functional fingers are kinda uncanny valley; except for this guy XD: https://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/vampire-homm-3.371653/

Yeah true, there are very very few 'fingers' among OG Warcraft models, with a few notable exceptions, seemingly reserved for when that's 'the thing' of the model (e.g. Ghoul) or if it's sufficiently rare/detailed (e.g. Firelord, Infernals?).

I'd say the Vampire is an edge case, but IMO the rest of the model is sufficiently simple (in a good way) to offset the long, articulated fingies.

I feel like Voidwalkers with stub hands would just look weird, and the first one I made (the thin one) had a big accent on his hands and fingers.
