You left lot of space empty voided, try scaling up then rotate the hammer until it hit the sweet spot which occupy the blackness and it will be more satisfied to look at.

The "aura" is very forced and seems to serve no purpose other than increasing the hammer's visibility. You should consider a light source, shade and highlight the hammer properly basing on the light's direction. I'm pretty sure the Tutorials section will tell you more about this.
