    Since you went an locked the thread to prevent replies, I figured I'd post here:

    An ad hominem argument (Latin for "to the person") is a logical fallacy in which a speaker attacks their opponent's character, motive, or personal traits rather than engaging with the substance of the opponent's actual argument.

    It has nothing to do with whether what you say is true or not. When you only talk about the person posting the thread and not the request being made, you are, in fact, engaging in ad hominem.

    I did engage with their actual argument. They want to keep posting their derailing paragraphs and still being able to access them after being deleted. This is not necessary if they don't desist from their selfish and irresponsible behaviour. Ad hominem is attacking character instead of an argument, not pointing out character for the argument.

    there are many old resources on the site of all kinds that were approved as substandard (now u/s) and said as 'rejected' (now restricted). Many are stolen.
    Or approved as recommended with a note of lower quality, when they are simple or lacking.
    Should they be revisited and re-moderated?

    Yeah probably. When U/S and lacking was implemented pretty much all Rejected stuff got sorted into it automatically.

    I need to ask you about something strange happening in the skins section. In the past, I used some neat skins in my map, and when i wanted to give credit to the author, the skin had disappeared. The same thing is happening now with some skins again that remind my that., we needs protectem from losting it, Could you please check what’s going on?

    they are, but to my this is not right, i understand that are someting diferent not that quality as hand make skins, but some eforts are done to with ai skins, and find useful in warcraft 3 universe, what about made section in skin section about ai skins they will by separated from each others,

    Because you could probably just upload the unwrap to ChatGPT yourself and ask it to do what the other person did and get the same result in two seconds. The skins section is for textures and art worth sharing with the broader community. The icon section has an AI section as its what the community wanted but rn I'm just not seeing the value or demand for an AI skins section since they all look the same and don't really offer much value to what someone could make themselves.

    But also, there's no effort in these AI skins.

    i understand, but i still think we should have that section, im sure members of Goodwill Hive would appreciate it. It would also help distinguish them from the classic skin section for future users. P.S. I tried to do that in the past, but it turned out to be more complicated than i remembered, so id appreciate it if you and hive managements could consider it.

    Hello, is there a novel section on the website? I want to write a fan fiction about Warcraft based on the reference images of the model. For example, the title of the novel is' Rebirth in World of Warcraft '. Perhaps it can bring revenue to the website. However, if it is profitable, I don't know the copyright fees for the models on the website. If the IP licensing fee for Blizzard's World of Warcraft is too expensive, then this profit will be invalidated.

    If something you write and post on this site takes off and becomes super popular, you should move it to an e-book and link to it from the thread where you originally posted it. As long as you leave a nice teaser / intro about what it is, we are good. You shouldn't be afraid of "pouring" your creativity in here and fear it getting trapped.

    Also. Deepstrasz is right about that forum. You are welcome to dust it off a bit :D

    If my novel unexpectedly becomes popular and extremely popular. It's easy for someone to make money by moving this novel. I am also worried that Blizzard may sue me for copyright infringement in this type of double creation. Also, the novel may use on-site model skin images as references for the characters and buildings in the story, which may make the owner of the model skin dissatisfied with being an unimportant character or antagonist in the novel, and may sue me for infringement. Based on these ideas, that's why I didn't take the action of writing a novel.As for seeking profits, it is only to prevent the movers from benefiting, and also to allow the owner of the model skin and its website, as well as Blizzard, to obtain a licensing fee. I don't want this profit, I just want to change the tragic fate of the characters in the Warcraft story, and at the same time, I want my ideas to be implemented. All of this is built in an ideal environment, and I have to create in my free time.

    So when something gets reported basically the previous reports are kinda still there so when it gets marked resolved it gets sent to everyone.

    So if someone reported something years ago and then it gets reported now and I send a resolution notification it'll send it to the previous reports too. I think this is for the case of multiple reporter's but obviously it has it's quirks.

    For non WoW fans/quest knowledgeable Warcraft III enthusiasts, you could lay out the details of the chapters/quests you want to have in your Stormwind campaign. Then you could get ideas from people for them. I tried checking the wiki but it's too much to go through and only text without gameplay context doesn't really help you properly picture what's actually going on.

    Yeah, I'd be willing to. TBH, I've never done it and I don't know what would be the best way. I haven't touched the W3 editor for years (decades even). Would you be able to compile a french version with translations I send you, or is that too much of a hassle?

    I think the .wts file in a map file contains the strings used. So I believe you can translate maps by taking that file and translating it and then just re-importing it. It's a process I'm currently testing out for the Spanish translation, but I'm not an expert nor do I have much experience in this regard.

    Yeah I think it's definitely worth a conversation about how much is it worth it in terms of moderation as well vs allowing people to freely interact and respond to a resource however they please.

    Yeah my latest campaign is probably around 80% finished, got 3 missions left to finish with 7 playable and 2 interludes already done. It follows the story of Stromgarde during the events of RoC and TFT so hopefully should be fun and interesting. Glad to see you back!

    Hi, Footman16, I played your Lordaeron's Legacy campaign and liked it very much, I wanted to ask you somehing, I saw in your campaign an amazing Lordaeron footman texture, I didn't see it anywhere on Hive before so I considered it yours (otherwise I wouldn't have bothered you) and my question is, may I use it in my own campaign? I intend to use many different textures of human kingdoms to give human units more identity (like you know, Stromgarde using Stromgarde's skins etc.) Both your knight and footman textures were looking good, but it's the footman that really caught my eye thus I ask for your permission (out of respect, because it wouldn't be fair to use it without your consent and knowledge) to use it for my own campaign.     Hello Footman16, I really like your work and your campaigns, especially Lordaeron's Destiny. I just want to ask a small question. The AI in this campaign is really good and very close to the original maps in the Warcraft campaigns. How do you do them? I'm working on a campaign too, but I have no idea how to make good AI like the ones on your campaigns or the Warcraft ones.
