What's going on, Le Champion. Let's have a bit of a chat. So what is Shido has been cooking? I'm currently a student for 3D modeling school and by now i am at the end of semester 2. Two more left til graduation but here I would like to show case Carl aka Coral Razormane got himself a cooler Daniel brought to life in a maya model. Not that something too impressive but it's my baby and i would stan for it.

Oh hello there, I bet you haven't seen me awhile. Or you just never heard of me, it's fine either way.... If you wondered, I am currently back in academic state for 3d modeling field. You wouldn't hear such class like that often in where I live but that's all you need to know I be away for a while. Take care now.

Look mate, I am in for historical forgiven mood today and I can at least let go Dee Panda grudge in the past. I quickly rundown what used to be hang by the chin;
2017 Shido actually debut her very first resource as an Icon for a Bow-Shield, it was a scrappy concept in general but you doubt 5 years ago me would stick that like a passion work. So I did upload it and got mixed reception in general, TP tell me do better but I can't push it enough to the point that I end up disgracefully delete the icon all together, it doesn't matter i give 6 hours work for a single icon, I just can't handle that.
2024-ish Shido would you know, disappear as currently in Semi-retirement state as you know where my head needed the most elsewhere, I comeback to find out that he came in review skins now (scotman, ya busy sth) and so far I have nothing to upset about. So I lift the grudge in the past aside, I still put my own icon in my own skin because duh.

Here's my unpopular opinion: Perfect texture works does not mean your model look good in game. Unless its uses meant for display, you should not over detailed to the point it became blurry when look afar, we are talking about the context of Warcraft 3 in general so you want the work playable after all.
I took an example here:
= Pigeon is a critter texture, so in a context of a critter, you don't really need to go ham on it because it main use is a critter.
= Kodo Jockey is a unit texture but Kodo itself is pretty big base size ingame alone so I can actually go steam ham.
= Sunweaver Genesaur is also in a big category but it's mostly a Genesaur so maintaining it core look also have to follow the base Genesaur as well.
= Last Bloom Bride also known as Banshee is a... well Banshee and she is mostly cover in smoke, the main work is heavily on her dress and her hair.
You will understand where am I going and feel free to disagree about it.
Edit: Yes, there is one for cinematic sake but again, if you are too detailed, you probably didn't fit warcraft 3 theme much

Now it's no secret that I learn from Riot when comes to texturing too. Because I both play their game and also use their skin because i like how their look.
I apply the same thing to the warcraft model so if 99% you always see like uther's hammer, his head and the cape then you can go ham on detail. Otherwise you can go less somewhere else and would not affect you much.

I have some curiousity about how common the weapon in the model section, sure you can argue sword, hammer and firearm in here but for this profile post, I'm looking for uncommon kind here.
I start with Pitchfork, logically this technically isn't a weapon but rather a farmer tool, mostly for moving hay. But pitchfork is like what if spear have triple the fun. Even devil usually holding a pitchfork in their depletion.
Blowgun is also deserve a mention here, heavily depleted in tribal theme and sometimes joke on vietcong.
Basically simplified sniper weapon and loaded with dart.
Whips are interesting weapon as they are mostly hit the most out of psychological damage. Unless you happen to be a BDSM person.
Shield, while not really a weapon, rarely get to find a model where the shield become a weapon, ever heard of shield basher?
Fan is also a rare kind to use, give in your inner madara wet dream for that. So does for umbrella as they usually in defensive weapon.

Last time I went over the DnD alignment chart with 5x5 charts. There was a bit of trouble whether something like Unknown King is more evil than Tongueless Horror.
While Tongueless is indeed serial killer, she has some standards and only killed unserved men and wear their skin as sustain for her own being.
Unknown King is currently being unknown for a reason. Currently, a seed of info would suggest that he was a king once, rarely speak, undying physique and ruthless in his heart.

Interestingly, this skin make me feel gay, eventhough i'm technically bi but turning him into a heman barbaric design work well with arthas main problem of dervation: "his own haircut". Look, no matter how delusional you are, you can't turn away the idea of turning totem into freaking mortar was genius concept. The totem has always been what dragging the model about concep is how would you handle it. So seeing a skin make use of the totem is such a wow moment that I couldn't see that coming. The tauren itself also pack with personality with the goggle, clothing and cool axe design. Such a fun skin showing hueter has a good taste on execution.

Here's something I like for a while and still deep down one of the best creation that make modern day HQ look like Hasty Questioning.
Most of the time about Druid of the Talon is that you would do something special about the hood, the staff and the beard. Turning him into straght on human dumbledore wizard was a masterpiece work that I cannot recreate a better one. Especially given this one was a casual skin and shown how much a charm in comparison. Again, betsy rating don't take time and resources in account (which still a controversial) but for me, this is just shown how much I love about casual works. You were never go to true limit because you geniuely believe to leave a flaw that make you a happy person. That's the beauty of Recommendation Rating.

You see skinners of different varieties, prefer using in particular specialities.
And iconers, too, treat perferentially. Those tools they tackle more proficiently.
Now you don't have to be in HIVE-WORK-SHOP, to understand the depth of my dilemma.
The two elements of me favor two different keys. thus a rift betwxit my fingers and my mousey.
I like nothing more than drawing things in Paint, It warm the very void of my soul.
The trouble is that Paint can leave me barely faint you see.
I like working in Paint MS
But I like paintings in Paint.NETttttttttt, Paint.NETtttttttttt
I refuse to be beholden to my head, I don't see why my hand should give in to their demands
I'll not be forced to compromise my art, and so I just keep working in Paint MS.
And painting in Paint.NEttttttT, Paint.Nettttttttt, Paint.NEtttttttT

Here's a draft of MSPaint challenge: (not really officially a chellenge yet, just a draft of condition)
The Challenge:
- Your texture must be made by MSPaint and not just MSPaint, must be the version from window XP or below.
- You cannot copy and paste from other picture or other program.
- The texture MUST be a texture for the OG warcraft model, meaning no custom.
- 2 WIPS required. Also your texture must be made by YOU.
- This challenge can be accepted anytime.
- You can submit it more than once.
- Teamcolor is taken out of equalation but beware of transparency.
- Backups are allowed, any program use for convert blp is completely allowed.
- As long your work is approved, A seat in MS Hall Of Famer. (if possible, I would make a thread dedicated to that.)
- Doing this challenge alone mean your skill is best in you and not the tool.
Can you imagine they would make aTD map where they have chicken as heroes, what a world we livin.

Pretty much warcraft poster child of unit as they are literally everywhere. It's probably one of the easiest yet expected model to work with and i'm rarely touching it for a concept because i'm a sucker for monster model. Hell, even my friend tend to be a footman (especially you Betsy).
