Hah. The Model Studio power users know that I have abandoned them to their suffering and been doing Warsmash instead. It is heavily implied to them from my lack of Retera Model Studio upgrades/maintenance. Those users have seen Taylor Mouse will soon be their salvation and get 3ds Max support for their HD models so that they can finally spend money to solve their problems (I refused money in return for RMS updates, I guess. This is all just a hobby for me.) But making Warsmash is operating on a different timescale than everyone else. By the time I finish, probably everyone on this site will have left to find a different hobby.
Edit: I post videos of Warsmash and feed off of inspiration like yours, possibly as a way to motivate myself. It might mean I am not a good person since I do that. The honorable thing would be if I finish it, then publish it, I would assume.

@Teitan: feel free to contribute to the project, if you want it to reach milestone after milestone. Two guys have been added so far to the private code repo in case they want to contribute, but they did not yet afaik.
(still zero issues reported, and zero pull requests submitted? come on...)

We can't blame people for lack of PRs. Repo was private until this weekend.

Some have said they have been wanting to contribute to such a project long before that.

As for the Feb 19th release from here:
... 24 individuals have downloaded it from THW so far afaik

iirc millions of copies of WC3 have been sold worldwide since 2002

Hey there @pyf, i would really like to help him, but sadly, i lack any programming skills, the best i can do really, is to encourage him to continue his work, i'm looking forward to test it though, if he ever relases a beta version of sorts, i'd be more than happy to serve as a guinea-pig-average-user-tester so to speak
