You wanna go Viola visual style? That will be painful unless you could find a sort of filter to make everything look that way.

What about Albrecht Dürer?

I'm quite unfamiliar with Dürer! Did you have a particular drawing in mind? I've used Doré as inspiration for quite a few maps (Prince of Rhoswen, Red Raven etc). I would like to combine the romantic element in his drawings with horror.

It wouldn't be that bad to go for a Viola style, as long as I limit myself to certain models and environments, like I did for Viola. Although I still have no idea how to lower the saturation for special effects...

FX are a problem since they are particles. You'd best be asking someone like Mythic or whoever else makes them for that.
