No backup, "Map data info missing or invalid" so I can't even open the map :C - MPQ editor surgery wouldn't work, the map was completely gutted by the blue screen

While I don't think there's much to do to save this map, you should really think about trying to back up your map incase anything like this happens again. If i'm not mistaken this has also happened to your WW1 map which is saddening. I hope you won't give up map making because of this, maybe you should just do collaborations with people as it may be less demanding and you would still be producing your desired product.

Sad to read that. Did you try opening the WorldEditTestMap in the test map folder?

The only copy of the map I had was stored in the Test folder, and it got completely corrupted.
I thought I might have accidentally protected the map somehow, so I went to run it in-game, and it couldn't show me the teams, how many players, map size, or even name.
It crashed with an empty error box. :<
