** Fair warning **

I am informing you all that this thread is being monitored by the Staff since December 27, 8:04PM. Also, the contents of this thread are being archived for future reference.

Therefore, tia for being both collaborative and courteous.

@BlueSaint: I think you nailed it. But one must not jump to conclusions, hehe...

What thread, that one? This is a comment box. Anyway, why tell them they're being monitored? Don't you want them to step badly so you can prove something?

@Shar Dundred: thanks for the warning, but I will keep the files. In fact, you might be surprised that a staff member asked me to reupload the archive, because they have not kept it. Since this seems to be a case which led to a (perma)ban, I am very surprised that some evidence was destroyed.

To answer your question, I am not biased because I do not want to see TLOC gone for good. It simply has come to my attention that the rar he uploaded contains an exe file from August 21, 2016, which some antivirus products flagged as being malware, and some of them still keep flagging it as such.

Now I have a question for you. You advised me to "remove that trojan asap". My question is: what makes you think it is a Trojan?

I wonder what the point of that is, though. Nobody here is, or was, hiding anything regarding him, and he can contact the staff and prove his innocence (well, at least when it comes to whether his software had malware, and if it is true that it doesn't).

Why it still has something to do with me, or this profile post, is kind of beyond me. I am even baffled this conversation still keeps going for some reason.

I will never hide my disdain for people like him, who always play the victim while spamming stupid drivel left and right, not respecting anything or anyone, but demanding that someone takes them seriously.
HappyTauren
HappyTauren
I reported him as soon as I saw him write like 20 visitor messages to random people, and Ghostwolf's virus analysis - because if it's true that he's posted malware publicly and to profiles of 20 people, then it's red alert for the site.

But even if his software doesn't have malware, what he did is incredibly ill advised in every conceivable way. The only people I have ever seen randomly post software like that to multiple user profiles have been either malicious or infected.

While his ban might have been rushed, I can't blame anyone for that after seeing his behavior. Also I probably don't know the whole story, and he might have already contacted the staff with some info.
HappyTauren

Oh, and until I have the exact source code used to build that executable, as far as I am concerned, it is malware.

Prove me wrong, give me the source code, let me build the exact same application.

I trust systems that can give false positives more than that person, if that was not clear. Antiviruses are not compulsive liars.

@HappyTauren: I have just written my own findings to the Staff.

I want to check some info with Shar Dundred. Then with Ghostwolf. Then I will talk some more with the Staff

And then HappyTauren, I will methodically debunk your walls of text sentence after sentence.
HappyTauren
HappyTauren
I don't think you have a very high level of reading comprehension. Because if you did, you would realize that you don't have to debunk anything. I said I do not trust him, or software coming from him, and I don't have a reason to. This is on the level of a personal opinion on the matter. I have no reason to trust him over software designed to detect malware. If that is not reasonable, I don't know what is.

You can't debunk my lack of trust in someone who hasn't given me a reason to trust him in first place.

You can't debunk the fact hat he keeps making shit up all the time, just read his posts. He was even saying how he's allegedly making this program.

So I do not trust him, and I do not have to weight on the matter, because I am not part of the staff.
HappyTauren
HappyTauren
I have even said, multiple times, that I think that, despite the fact that I do not want him, or people like him, on this site, the decision to ban him was rushed because (to my knowledge) he wasn't given the chance to defend himself (as GW and me thought he would) after the initially deleted posts.

When will you realize you have nothing to prove to me? I told you that several posts ago.

I only need to write paragraphs because you lack the ability to understand the simple ideas I am conveying. When other people asked me about this I just said I don't trust him and/or give a shit, and it's the staff's job to see it through in the end.

If I say the same thing to you, you'll still believe that you need to debunk my image of him.

First things first. Shar Dundred. Then GhostWolf. Then the Staff. Then you.

In the meantime, you can read your own posts again.
Shar Dundred
Shar Dundred
Two reasons: 1) Ghostwolf's post and 2) I consider TLOC a person causing nothing but trouble.
Shar Dundred
Shar Dundred
And yes, I am biased because I consider TLOC a useless parasite who is wasting the time of every user on this website with his BS, because he ignores site rules, does not care about his past non-perma bans and continues doing nonsense.
As far as I am concerned, his ban was good news and he can stay banned for good.
pyf
pyf
Does tha mean that you did not run any of his code? You did not run the exe file? You did not run the jar file?
Shar Dundred
Shar Dundred
As you said, "first things first".
"Shar Dundred. Then GhostWolf. Then the Staff. Then you."
Means that GhostWolf is next, not me. I will wait until after him, staff and HT before I contribute anything further.

Oyy, stop spamming my alerts :s
I don't understand your point pyf, what are you trying to prove? That we dislike this person? that's pretty obvious! That he was banned too fast? probably! what's your point? He can contact the staff at any point. Like HappyTauren said, there's absolutely no reason for me to trust this user, given his history, over antiviruses. I checked it anticipating some to catch it as malware, and lo and behold, some did. No, I did not run this software, exactly because who it came from, and I do indeed tend to run software from users without checking it. If you want to be some social justice warrior, fighting for the poor troll that only wanted to be cancer (regardless if this is malware or not), you are free to do it, but that doesn't mean you can now harass us randomly. You know the story, it's pretty damn short and simple, stop asking how it went over and over.
pyf
pyf
@GhostWolf: wait your turn.

@Shar Dundred: again, does that mean that you did not run any of his code? You did not run the exe file? You did not run the jar file?
GhostWolf

I don't get it, do you think this is some trial and you are the judge?
I wonder if being condescending towards people might make them act differently towards you, what do you think?
Either way, please stop spamming my alerts, and I am certain the sentiment is shared by the profile page owner.
Open up your own thread and see if anyone cares.
Shar Dundred

I share Ghostwolf's sentiments, pyf, I ain't wasting any more time with that crap. Got more important things to do - as do the others I am sure.

@GhostWolf: I have already opened a thread on Staff Contact on December 26, 09:36 AM. I am writing on these two threads at the same time.
Regarding alerts, we have a thread about this somewhere in Site DIscussion

@Shar Dundred: why are you eluding my question?
