It's quite easy. There's an event that detects when a building has just been built. Then, in conditions block you check if it's a certain unit-type (your buiilding), and at last, you give the ability to it.
Another question: I create personalized objects, one based on the construction of the watchtower in Humans. By setting the cost in gold and wood, it changes these parameters to PURCHASE.
When I want to build the building using the object, there is still a cost. But I do not know where to go to change that cost in gold and wood.
I tried to reproduce that, but everything worked fine for me. I made a custom tower, a custom arcane vault (item seller), an item (based on tiny barracks), and a modified ''build tiny barracks'' ability. By default, the build tiny barracks doesn't require mana, so its field is set to 0. If you hover the mouse on the item, it shows the amount of gold and lumber you will receive for selling it back to the shop.
I found the problem on mana
I also noticed that for an object with several charges, the price of each load of gold and wood decreases with the amount of charge.
Example: a three-charge object
First load -> 220 gold, 60 wood
Second load -> 100 gold, 37 wood
Third load -> 84 gold, 13 wood
I invented the values
That's odd, it should set its sell price to half of base price multiplied by the amount of current charges. You can also change the item sell percentage, going to Advanced -> Gameplay Constants... -> Inventory - Sell Item Return Rate (almost in the end of the page).
Another challenge: I tried to redo the fate of Marshmalo in "Siege of Quel'thalas 4.5". In the map, it is possible to buy as object of 'Runes of shock". I can not do the same thing as he does. Do you think you can help me with this? Thanks in advance
I tested several times, the aura (slow) does not always work
Moreover, when a unit passes on the rune, there is no explosion animation
I tried to do this by trigger starting with Rune Trap
Three special effects appear to be used:
Objets\Spawnmodels\NightElf\NEDeathMedium\NEDeath.mdl
Abilities\Spells\Human\DispelMagic\DispelMagicTarget.mdl
Abilities\Spells\Orc\WarStomp\WarStompCaster.mdl
But it is not really that: Abilities\Spells\Orc\WarStomp\WarStompCaster.mdl gives a red effect, whereas in the map it is in blue that it appears
Maybe it's another trigger that changes the color of the special effect pattern
