Definitely, a good base. Although you may want to consider the following:
1. Define the robe more. What I mean with define is to make it more recognizable. Just shade it well and you'll be fine. Remember to follow the top-down shading (global shading) to make it fit in Warcraft.
2. Add more details to the cape like ornaments or you can even add TC (team color) on it.
3. Boots isn't recognizable, maybe you could define it more. Make it look more like a boot.
4. The skin must be 75% freehand. Maybe you could add more details to his face or make a custom one.
That's all I can say. Just send another picture if you have an update. Keep me updated, and keep up the good work. You're doing a great job. ;P
i dunno that.. bad guys usually have dark under eyes or pale skin, or a scar.. but scar is not a good idea when you only got a half a face on the texture, because that means its mirrored
It's generally the eye texture, which is used only on portrait file. I tend to alpha that out and draw the eyeball manually on the face of my skins - it yields a much more precise result
