The province of Bergenland (like the whole of Aldenbard as a whole!) is incredibly rich in its beautiful mountains and hills, generously covered with coniferous forests.
These northern forests are not only the largest source of timber, but also, mainly, home to many animals, birds, insects and reptiles. Sometimes it happens that some representatives of the local fauna intersect - here, somewhere to the side, in the bushes, a viper is hiding (interesting: what she's up to do?), in the shade of the trees a wolf howls - probably noticing a red deer peacefully watching from a hill.
A skunk is strolling nearby - let's hope no one angers it! And here, almost merging with the forest floor and with their eyes on pine cones and pine nuts, squirrels have descended from the trees - they will probably have a nut feast today! And above this whole picture, birds are flying - crossbills, familiar to these places, their trills complementing the rustling of branches to the accompaniment of a light, cool breeze
