Frostsäulen (translated from Aldenbardian as “Frost Pillars”) are one of the many parts of the indescribably beautiful and amazingly diverse Steinkeppen – mountain system running through the whole of Aldenbard.

It is this part of the mountain system, despite the fact that it’s not the northernmost point, that is one of the coldest - it was the place where the Gigantär-Gletscher (Giant’s Glacier, one of the greatest glaciers in Aldenbard!), formed. However, quite recently, for some unclear reasons, the Glacier began to melt, cutting off one of the main water routes for human ships, and the winding mountain gorges can become an excellent hiding place for... Forces that are very unfavorable for Aldenbard...
