Lore - Legacy of Arathor and the Formation of Alterac (For those with Curiosity):
Alterac (kingdom)
Aiden Perenolde

Lore of Alterac (Fictional Interpretation):
After the conclusion and end of the Second War, Aiden Perenolde and his Alteraci would remain scattered all across Lordaeron. The Alteraci Settlements, such as Strahnbrad, were closely watched over by the Alliance, but it's people did not all get along. Alliance could be heard cursing the Alterac land, title, and very name for existing on Azeroth, as old hatreds still hold a boiling point in history where Alterac sold them to the Horde. Lead by Aiden Perenolde, the Last King of Alterac. The Alteraci find themselves today in constant civil war and at war with themselves. The Alliance of Lordaeron ignore their cries for help and are not concerned with her needs, because Alterac is collapsing within itself and Terenas had passed over the leadership to Aliden Perenolde, Aiden's son, although all of the nobles place their loyalties and fealties with Aiden. When the rumors gone out that the Horde orcs were held in Internment Camps, the Alteraci disagreed for allowing those filthy brutes to leave and blamed them for everything they have lost in the war. This is how Alterac dealt with it's pain, by blaming others. In the years that followed, Alterac had divided herself into four factions: The Bloodhill Bandit's Clan lead by the Brothers Dragunov. The Assassin's League of Alterac lead by Manor Ravenhodlt, the Alteraci Syndicate lead by Former Alteraci King, Aiden Perenolde, and the Argus Wake lead by Arkus Isiden Winterchill. The city of Alterac was left in ruin and heavy snow, having been forced to repel ogre attacks commonly and quite usually. They appear as the secondary antagonist of the Reign of Chaos, who would be responsible for creating the following factions:

- The Argus Wake (Found by Mal'Ganis, Majority of Altercians swallowed into the Argus Wake. Present Day: Servants of the Burning Legion)
- The Templar's Order (Servants of the Alteraci Scourge. Formerly members of the Argus Wake, Bloodhill Bandit's Clan, and the swallowed Alteraci Syndicate. Present Day: Reformed after collapsing.)
- The Host of Suffering (Servants of Mal'Ganis, Lead by Menag Dragunov. Formerly members of the Templar's Order. Present Day: Servants of the Scourge, Champions of the Lich King)

The fictional interpretation below is meant to give you an idea what the Fallen Kingdom was like in it's final days before it's decline and before it's hostile take over from the Ogres and when the Alteraci Syndicate simply became only known as the Syndicate. Many would also end up becoming members of the Scarlet Crusade, as they had no where else to go and feared being killed at every turn. You must understand that they were a ruined kingdom and lived a harsh life of thievery after their betrayal, which is why they were easily open to immigration and manipulation from within their own ranks. Their leaders and nobles were no different than scum that ran the streets.

The Bloodhill Bandit's Clan:
Lead by the Dragunov Brothers: Menag and Devine. The Bloodhill Bandit's Clan was found by them after Blackwood was burnt and razed during the Second War, but their name was the 'Blackwood Bandit's Gang'. Othmar Garithos had blamed the High Elves for the fall of Blackwood and the Dragunovs blamed Alterac and the Horde alone. However, after losing the home and the Alliance refusing to rebuilt Blackwood. The two brothers made their home in Alterac, as they both intended to take over it's crime syndicates and rule over the city itself. However, Lord Aiden Perenolde was quickly on their trail. The Blackwood Bandit's Gang were outsiders and fierce veterans of the Alliance gathered from all across Lordaeron. They blamed the Alliance for not being able to provide wealth to sustain themselves and other human nations, finding sympathy in and for Alterac. To show loyalty to the Fallen Kingdom they wished to aid, they sacked the former gates from enemy ogre invaders and renamed them to the 'Gates of Bloodhill' that they guard to this day and hence their name: The Bloodhill Bandit's Clan. Most of their members are members of the Alliance military and skilled manipulative traders that serve the Clan with hopes of one day disposing of the one they call the Fallen King that they believe responsible for the main turmoil and divide in the Alliance: Aiden Perenolde. The Bloodhill Bandit's Clan is also known for raiding settlements, decapitating children, raping women, and their crime and exploits reach far and wide even in Quel'Thalas. Most high elves turned sinister joined the Bloodhill Bandit's Clan due to the High Elves' stubborn nobility and nature. They are the only clan to control high elves within Alterac and their clan are viewed as the 'Immigrants' and 'Outsiders' of Alterac. The clan's name, Bloodhill, is named in honor of the Alterac Fortress that so many gave their lives for during the Empire of Arathor and for the sacrifices of those that bled defending Alterac from it's dark fate. To this day, the power of the Bloodhill Bandit's Clan has grown to such a great degree that it rivals the power of the Alteraci Syndicate and the Argus Wake combined, as many poor or untrained citizens turned to the Clan for honor and glory in the Clan and to make up for their past mistakes and misdeeds. The Clan is known for holding great interests and good holdings with the Argus Wake, because they uncovered a dark secret and remain silent about it for a hefty price...

Members:

- Devine Dragunov (Lord Commander)

The Alteraci Syndicate:
Lead by the former nobles and lords of the Alterac Kingdom. The former nobles and lords have decided to unify under the banner of the one they call the 'Fallen King of Alterac', Aiden Perenolde, although many say they swear fealty and loyalties to House Perenolde. This is not true, however, since they do not believe descendants of the Fallen King are capable of running the Syndicate as they see fit: As a profit organization. Stretching their arms and politics all across Lordaeron, the Alteraci Syndicate is known for having members of their Syndicate in popular cities such as Lordaeron and Stratholme. They are seeking out the missing members of the Perenolde Family such as: Isiden Perenolde, who fled to Gilneas and once sought out claim for the throne. Aiden Perenolde, along with the rest of his family, control all the vast and enormous riches of Alterac and most of the muscle behind the city's walls. They control the laws, the flow of trade, and the arms-dealership. In the open, they seem like ambassadors that send common requests of aid and assistance to the Alliance, but behind the closed curtains they are vagabonds, bandits, thieves that have come to do nothing else but claim any land and steal any title deed that they can acquire. The Alteraci Syndicate commonly hire others to do their dirty work for them, such as the Bloodhill Bandit's Clan and the Assassin's League of Alterac. They employ the Argus Wake only because of the Succubus they provide and the city brothels that now make them money. The Alteraci Syndicate had made the city's center their own headquarters and the home to the biggest filth and pollution that gives any human a bad name. Dark arts are familiar with them and they are no strangers to it.

The Argus Wake:
Consisting of human members of nobility lead by Arkus Isiden Winterchill. The Argus Wake had established her headquarters within the walls of Alterac and the Dark Magus and Warlocks of the Argus Wake soon expelled those from the legendary Alterac Fortress, as they turned the legendary and holy grounds into a defiled fortress where pleasurable boundaries were met every night and food was well served. Those who had to join the Argus Wake would have to make a demonic blood pact and pledge fealty and their own soul to Arkus Isiden Winterchill of Alterac. Rumors traveled around that Arkus himself was in fact 'Isiden Perenolde', who once claimed his hold off the throne of Alterac. Many nobles of the Alteraci Syndicate want that name and so called 'traitor' extinguished for the bounty of ten thousand gold. The members of the Argus Wake were approached by the Alteraci Syndicate who were shocked to learn that their once most powerful soldiers were also allied with the group of cultists, but yet shared their passion of the cold dark and the powers that lie secretly within. The Argus Wake had taught the Alteraci the ways of the warlock and the dark magi, forming a strong bond with the Alteraci Syndicate and their fortress is manned and ran by none other than the Alteraci Syndicate they swore fealty and loyalty to in return for dwelling within the ruined city. Those members who were questioned and thrown behind bars were soon rescued by their own cultists who offered very convincing succubus or succubi for pleasurable company. Nobody is sure what the goal the Argus Wake is, but they are demonic cultists who show an interest in the orcish rituals of necromancy. Something which Aiden Perenolde has found great interest in, as well as the Bloodhill Bandit's Clan. When the Clan discovered the Argus Wake were lead by the dreadlord, Mal'Ganis, they sought out to expose the Argus Wake and murder them. However, Arkus called their Bandit Lord to a meeting within the Alterac Fortress and after this good ties resumed between the two men, who quickly became friends and focused their interests on a enemy they have both in common.

Assassin's League of Alterac:
Manned and lead by House Ravenholdt that belongs to Jorach Ravenholdt of Ravenholdt Manor. The Assassin's League is a minority group within Alterac and not welcomed after they dabbled and messed with politics. The League also sold valuable information that could expose any of the three ruling syndicates within the city to the Alliance for money, which is something neither of the three factions would approve off. During the night of the great purge of Alterac, many assassins of House Ravenholdt were stripped off their belongings, murdered, and sent home parading naked back to Ravenhodlt Manor as a 'reply' of 'whatever good faith' remained to them. This sort of act brought great insult to Jorach Ravenholdt who swore rivalry to the Alteraci Syndicate and it's subgroups for this 'insult'. The rivalry still lasts until present day as Jorach is hoping to expose the Alteraci Alliance by any means necessary to humiliate the fallen Kingdom's denizens and enrich himself with the title of the 'Best Assassin's League of Azeroth'. Alas, the Alteraci Syndicate had ordered any entering Assassin's League member to be hung and killed on sight, but this doesn't stop the Assassin's League to show up where they are not wanted, often raiding large parties or causing explosions in the city's streets. Crime has gone up since their arrival and causes distress within the city.
