Snakes

snakes! a creature I was very much missing from mur'loc 'island' survival 2, no snakes has made me sad a long time -- they have no attack animation however so I will need to take ''walk'' and mess with it to look fast like an attack but end abruptly. should look ok they are pretty small any way.

this ones originally brown, so ima have alot of color snakes now that I have a working xml -- blues up next haha then purple

Yea im not sure how to fix that tongue issue.... Good observation though yes the tongues still wrong

lol -- one counter I might have is to outline the edges in black and make a brighter pink more noticable forked center -- not really sure yet.

yea during the conversion from brownish pale beige to bright green I may have left too much grey/white around the tongue part of the alpha channel texture -- I didn't think much of it at the time and didn't even notice the crappy tongues til later lol -- you can't see it if they are small -- which they are meant to be -- the scale of skinks/slightly bigger than skinks -- at that kind of distance it looks miniscule.

the way I made this texture was to take the dds file originally from starcraft2 for the war3 art mod model known as the ''dog'' you may be familiar with it -- then I took the ''snake.tga'' file and copied and pasted it into the dog texture and shrank the height by half while keeping the same width -- and pasted the snake over and over again -- then I did the alpha channels right after.

the fact the snakes not bright cancerous blue, pitch black un-textured, or a big model error sphere, is good. the fact its green shows my conversion from tga textures to dds textures was a success, to a degree.

it was a spooky experiment but im glad it worked out. I didnt even convert it from m2 to m3 it was already in m3 format for me, all I did was try to replace some textures for quality reasons. (tga textures look terrible in sc2)
