Night And Day
im slowly figuring it out...

edit: figured it out day and night works now, and lighting no longer bleaches things....
 
mmmm things will change more quickly, now that I under stand lighting... right now its pretty bright at night so I will slowly change that. the way I've rigged it now, this system still does not change vision range for night time, so that comes next...

I have seen a system that uses not 2 but 4 light sets, for dusk dawn/morning and night, im not planning on doing that, so night shall be night and day shall be day and slowly I will make it better! it looks nice in game now that it slowly transitions nice and smooth, and orderly. currently days last 20 seconds right now how ever...that will likely also change.

Next will be Buffs! such as purple murlocs gettings bonuses and other color murlocs getting de-buffs!
 
yes it is, just on the sc2 engine, with changes of my own, inspired by things I always wanted to do in warcraft3 but couldn't.

Edit: such as tinting the entire world fel green when demons are doing stuff, or purple when night elves/high elves/mages are doing/casting stuff. or red for volcanism and firey rocks raining down out of the sky.

infact the original original mur'loc island survival had alot of custom data for the non mur'loc races, with no ai to use any of it. (the custom spells)

I plan on having alot of different things going on between the ai npcs to make life as mur'locs even harder by being trapped in the centers of big battles -- a hilarious idea that never truly came to be in wc3 but in sc2.... its all just copy pasting swarm hosts spawn locust ability.
 
Not really, not in my opinion. because I can do more with this engine then I could with the old one, and it wont be warcraft3 exactly, its more inspired by it then developed to be it, this maps mostly about murlocs and the other races are key to that world but are not playable, just npcs - the core of the games theme is tag, the murloc players run and the players with dinosaurs chase, its basically tree tag, with treants vrs infernals or sheep tag, with orc raiders vrs sheep creeps. but made in my own image, my own imagination.

For example Ive decided there will be many chase options other then dinosaurs such as demons undead and fantasy creatures such as the rainbow dragon and the giant spider as well as different color murlocs for more options of choice, I wish to make a game of tag that is unlike any other before it. And using hiveworkshop skins in sc2 is, to me any way, a special method of doing this. (making a tag game)
 
Oh no its not melee at all - well partly melee related since im keeping some things the same such as classic unit stats like footman grunts and ghouls - and other races stuff will behave similarly to the original wc3 style - with some differences
