Hello Hive-Members!

Here is my new Project almost finish

Drobots

The Drobots are robotig meele units that fight with each other, heal, and duplicate hisself if they have enough Metal Pieces, Drobots are very strong, cause they build their own army with Duplicating and killing other units on the map (random). If a drobot get attacked, other drobots will come to help him

Metal Pieces

Metal Pieces can be found by all units, except Drobot, if a unit die (building, hero, drobot wahtever) it has a 42% chance to create a Metal Piece there, if anywhere spawns a Metal Piece, drobots will carry it.

If u want to use my Drobots, it is the easyst way u start with my map and deleting all waht u dont need (Credits Trigger, Income etc)






Its my first selfmade project, i hope u guys like it, i like it much :D
It would be nice if u give me + rep if u use/like my Project, i want change some things and add some spells like that:


Magnetic Trap: Traps all drobots in a Area to the Trap for 8 seconds or something

Drobots diddle: Spawns 10 Metal Pieces and despawn them in 2 seconds, means that 10 Drobots will come to collect the Pieces, but they found only a TRAP :D

13:46, 12th Aug 2009 ap0calypse: Rejected No proper author name. The description didn't mention what type of game/system this is. Wrong type (it states "melee"). Terrain is very bad (of course, it's just a test I guess...). Very leaky...

  • Terrain is very bad (of course, it's just a test I guess...).
  • Very leaky, inefficient triggers (you should really fix this if you want others to use it).
  • Metal piece doesn't have a DISBTN, though Huinipachutli made one.
  • Too flashy texts... (not a reason for rejection, just a side-note ;) )

Interesting. I don't fully understand how drobots function, but they seem very interesting. The map itself is definitely lacking, it's expected for a test but you should put tests in the forums. The terrain and gameplay would need work for real submition.
 
i gotta say i do like the idea of drobots however i looked at a few of the triggers and some are a bit ineffitiant, for instance the 'found an enemy trigger'
it should use a unit group rather than a 'pick random unit from unit group' function as this would always select all the drobots rather than having a chance of missing one off.

eg.
events- unit is attacked

Conditions- unit type of attacked unit equal to drobot

actions- Pick every unit in unit group units in playable map area matching unit type of matching unit equal to drobot and order picked unit to move to position of attacked unit
Turn on enemy find timer
turn off this trigger
