This look pretty awesome, and i am confident that it will get approved if you add a border. 
For, really, icons just dont work without borders.
Apart from that this is a nice piece of work.

Use http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tools-560/button-manager-v1-8-2-a-116280/ to get quick icons. De-saturate the background a bit, as it draws way too much attention. Still, I found this icon quite nice.

yeah i agree with Apheraz, the background stands out waaaaayyy too much. but the icon is indeed nice :>
