i guess the bg is acceptable but i am sure you could better it

like i said. i see you changed it but its not change for the better. still look like little tentacle legs
 
I like this one. :p But still some changes are needed to be done. The shading on the sword don't make it look flat, but round! Try to make the shading like a sword. Normally, a sword will have a darker edge and a lighter edge OR a groove in the middle of the sword. But it looks like you put shading along both sides, making it look like a pipe with spikes rather than a sword. :p

The runes along the sword don't look attached to the sword. Try shading along the edges of the runes to give the impression that the are embedded into the sword. The spikes are cool. but right now they look like thorns :p Try to shape them out like deadly spikes. and the shading is the same as the sword, they look round instead of flat.

The BG is good but just try to separate it from the sword because its looking like its blending in too much with the sword. :p

Is it just me or the DISBTN icon isnt the old icon? Idk if my comp just didnt load it... cuz i checked the blp icon i have and its the good one..

EDIT: Nvm about the DISBTN
