My new Diablo III map is a fast RPG map with many references
to the first Diablo III Gameplay Trailer and the Blizzcon 2008 Diablo III Demo:






The map is the Prequel of my Diablo III Borderlands map. It is the first part of my Diablo III Campaign. Borderlands is the second part.

Story
Two decades have passed since the demonic lords, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, set out across the world of Sanctuary on a vicious rampage, twisting humanity to their unholy will. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils, the memory fades slowly.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram Cathedral seeking clues to defeat new stirrings of evil, a fiery harbinger of doom falls from the heavens, striking the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. This fire from the sky reawakens ancient evils and calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells once again.

Question: After finding Cain, are you actually supposed to bring him back to the exit? When I did, no one went back up, and it said the quest was finished after I killed the boss. Is that a bug?

There are gaps in the first bridge where ghouls attack you, units can cross from one side of the chasm to another by going into it.

Also, this map is awesome.

1. The wording of the quest makes it seem like you had to backtrack and take him back to the entrance you came from (the ghoul-bridge one).

2. That one can be disregarded, I hadn't finished the map when I posted it. Since Cain and his archers don't get teleported back to the middle of the bridge like the PC when going into the chasm, I thought there was a pathing bug. Speaking of pathing bugs, there are a few corners where a blocker is missing, so the PC suddenly sinks into the floor.

EDIT: And now I have watched the video, and (once my jaw gets back from the floor) declare the map to be even more awesome, simply for the level of resemblance to the trailer.

hey Booody,is it normal that the quest for the little girl doest appear in quest log and later in cathedral her mother didnt reward us for it like in the old version ??

I have deleted mother in the new version. It was rather pointless. I had to improve and optimize the game performance. So I deleted some unimportant triggers. Unfortunately, there were significant lags. Incidentally, there aren't still removed in the current version. There is a serious lag bug in the skeleton king intro. I try to fix it in the next version. Also, the inventory is full bugfree up to the next version...

oh yeah about the skeleton King,last time i dropped off to him and next time it was my friend lol but second time we saved before boss heh
i think i found why,when you click on boss that make u lag after cuz he teleport into is throne and do is intro,try to start him directly into is throne.

Diablo III Borderlands (v.1.05):

- A new mini dungeon (cave spider), then a new end boss (Azmodan)
- 5th character class (next week will be introduced at BlizzCon)
- Skill changes: Witch Doctor Summon mongrels merged with Sacrifice
Witch Doctor gets a new skill: Horrify: scares monsters which turn and run away for 5 seconds.

- Optical improvements (tilesets, unit skins, new models)
- New ememies (fallen hounds, sand golems, Succubis etc.)
- Story extension in relation to Azmodan

Diablo III New Tristram (v. 1.02):
- Inventory is completely fixed
- Bugfixing (for example Skeleton King bug)
- 5th character class (next week will be introduced at BlizzCon)
- Skill changes: merged witch doctor summon mongrels with sacrifice

hey i have 2 suggestion and 1 bug issue i think

the boss skeleton master i think before going back to tristam dont drop any item ?

and my suggestion is : When someone leave it should drop is item on the floor and the witch doctor spell for explosing is summoning should auto explode one of the summon cuz in big fight they hard to find -.-

Witch Doctor Summon mongrels merged with Sacrifice:
It means that we summon mongrels normal as we know it. If they are summoned, the skill will replaced by the skill Sacrifice for 25 seconds (mongrels explodes, skill cooldown is now 2 seconds). After this 25 seconds you can summon new mongrels. It is an icon place free for the skill Horrify. Horrify is a funny defensive skill :) But it contributes only for small monsters...

ah,i wanted auto Sacrifice a Mongrels,everytime i use the doctor,or other player no one ever use sacrifice in late game cuz 1: it lag too much , 2: they imposible to find =/

You mean the Sacrifice skill lags or the game lags? I could make that mongrels explodes automatically when they die. But it makes half damage of the manual Sacrifice ability. I also can make the mongrels in the low levels greater ------> so they will be possible to find...

Okay I will keep to the rules of course. I apologize for the missing credits. I will submit a list of credits in the next time.

Edit: I have updated the map description with the credit list...

in big fight it lagging to much to click on sacrifice,then find summon lol,
i mean when you click on sacrifice it could auto Sacrifice a random Morgrels

I have changed the Sacrifice ability. Its an automatical skill now. I have tested it and I will keep it...

Bugs/errors:

1)the displayed hotkey for the DH's vault and molten arrows are wrong...
2)some tooltip problem:
ex. the last sentence for Spike Trap - the trap opens up and enemies above it.

I love the DH... sadly I accidentally hit the quit button before fighting Leoric...

didnt have problem with Molten Arrow but with Vault yeah,its use with E and not D

and molten arrow's DPS isnt visible coz the fire path stays only for a little while, but anyway, MA is pretty much an OUCH right now. (haven't tried the other skills yet coz I used a pure MA/FOK build)

oh, there's also a prob with grenades hotkey, it says [E] so IDK if it bugs because it has the same hotkey as vault or if it really has no hotkey...

yeah there no hotkey for grenade..anywya this spell blow hard lol 30 dmg even at lvl 10 with 12 grenade huh okay in borderlands with 30 dmg lol ??

and yeah Molten Arrow DoT doest show
you should try the Mine this spell is Imba at max it doing 200 dmg for 4 sec 0.o and With Molten/Fan that crazy DPS

put that picture in a hidden tag coz its huge and is not related to this post... (and its not a signature too...)

I think it was based from CW's map, but I think it was made from scratch because the terrain looks the same but is definitely different, (the load screen says created by CloudWolf)...

this is New Tristam so maybe grenade is fine here... and yeah, tried the trap, its cool specially with alabaster rune... ^_^

I dont like the scatter shot thing, it only shows two showers... ^_^

the first boss is pretty easy using a DH, you can just run around and use MA...

Scatter shot is equal to Fan,cuz its like +55 dmg with 12 arrow and it pierce,+ the dmg of your hero attack

and what the alabaster rune doing to Trap ?? cuz its not the same in Borderlands

it adds a 40% slow aura to the trap...

what I dont like is the visual effects of the SS... coz it stays the same no matter what level it is, when in the tooltip, the number of salvos increases... and I think the arrows of the SS are too large compared to those in the trailer...

wow really ?? its a bug in new tristram then cuz in Borderlands i saw every extra arrow

Where is the best trailer-made game button?? This was just sooo great! I LOVE the new class, and it was implemented perfectly! Also Borderlands was GREAT too, and I like how you made it so that we start at 15 and you added another part with Azmodan. Of course there are flaws though: a few grammatical errors, such as spelling in the dialog and on those notices for some "This item can only go into an amor slot." Also, hotkeys are messed up for demon hunter.
All in all, fantastic map, great terrain, non-stop action throughout the entire hour, 5/5 +rep

I think you update this map for just a very few changelog is odd.
I hope next time you update the map with many changelogs there.

I think I will update the maps Borderlands (v1.05c) and New Tristram (v1.02d) tomorrow again. Borderlands then receives a new morlu caster model by Sellenisko. And I will fix again the hotkeys and Demon Hunter skill descriptions. If you gets fire bomb or locust swarm on mongrels, then the mongrels are colored according. New Tristram will include a new Dungeon Wall Skin looks like this (Halls of Agony Wall):

Otherwise I find the demon hunter is well balanced. In my opinion the grenades dealing damage enough. Do you have any suggestions yet?
Then I can implement it today...
