My new Diablo III map is a fast RPG map with many references
to the first Diablo III Gameplay Trailer and the Blizzcon 2008 Diablo III Demo:






The map is the Prequel of my Diablo III Borderlands map. It is the first part of my Diablo III Campaign. Borderlands is the second part.

Story
Two decades have passed since the demonic lords, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, set out across the world of Sanctuary on a vicious rampage, twisting humanity to their unholy will. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils, the memory fades slowly.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram Cathedral seeking clues to defeat new stirrings of evil, a fiery harbinger of doom falls from the heavens, striking the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. This fire from the sky reawakens ancient evils and calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells once again.

Diablo III New Tristram is a passing stage game where each player plays as a character from the popular game diablo III. It's goal is to kill the final boss. There are four classes to choose from, with awesome terrain and greatly designed spells closed to the original diablo III.

I got to say, the first play was pretty hard for me to figure out alone. But I see the very great effort. If I know how to go about the stages I will feel much better...

i play TFT since 7 years and i never seen such a epic game like that ur my hero :D i feel like playing Diablo 3 Demo dude are you working for blizzard or something ?? what is sure is you can get a job for them ^^
everything is 100% like video gameplay and all reveiled info about D3 for now im sure when they gonna announce the range hero you will add him in ur 2 game ?? same for new location
well the atmosphere is rly like Diablo 3 good work dude i make people loading your map with my autorefresh d/l only and everyone cant believe there eyes lol 0.o

EDIT : btw i seen a lil bug, other class sometime can loot other class item check it out ;)

hey i have 2 suggestion and 1 bug issue i think

the boss skeleton master i think before going back to tristam dont drop any item ?

and my suggestion is : When someone leave it should drop is item on the floor and the witch doctor spell for explosing is summoning should auto explode one of the summon cuz in big fight they hard to find -.-

yea this is the reason why we chage the inventory system. but i'm inactive atm (and also my icq does not work) so it will take some time :S

what u mean by change the inventory system ?? not like cloudwolf version plz we dont need belt bracer ect for a short rpg custom its perfect like this !!
cuz with inventory everyone loot all and we cant see what other guys have

everyone with who i played cloudwolf version,well at first they liked it but later in game they all thoug it was getting old and long to alway check ect menu. just 6 space for 2 wep,2 armor n 2 random is perfect for a 1-2 hours rpg game plz dont its so fun to watch other item too with anachon we cant and u can stole everything and keep it in inventory /CRY

Yes it needs more work (items etc.) but it's worth it. we will still need some time to integrate the new inventory system.

well it's worth it depend,its cute to see the first time but like i said its getting old quick and more annoying than usefull,too much slot in inventory you can loot everything and keep it all the game long and ur teammate cant watch what u have and u alway have to wait to other cuz they setting their inventory

up to you guys just saying my opinion and all the friend with who i play your GG d3 custom agree,6 slot its perfect for a wc3 custom we all used to

I tried to closely follow the template. I've never heard that Diablo can get a child. I will create an independent story and I plan at the end of the third part a meeting with with Diablo again.

following the template is good, but i think making your own story is much better, trust me, you will be more proud when you finish your own storyline.

When I open wc3, it doesn't show this map in the list of maps i have :/

EDIT: It only shows up when I use version switcher to get Wc3 version 1.22, but I havent played new tritram yet, only borderlands (which was a nice map as well :pir:)

I have good news for you. Before the BlizzCon 2010 I will release new versions of Borderlands and New Tristram. There are some bugs fixed and there are added a few new features. At the moment I plan no changes in the inventory system. it would be too much effort. But hell gate and I'll do it properly.

New Tristram will have a smaller map size. it was just too laggy, especially in multiplayer mode. A new feature will be automatically pick of health orbs and mana orbs. Also I am plan a new monk combo system along with a new monk resource system (spirit).

After BlizzCon 2010, I'll update the maps again. New features will include:
- new resource systems for the other classes
- The 5th character class
- More features will be presented at the BlizzCon 2010

Then will follow the third Part of my Diablo III trilogy, including all five character classes...

The next versions (New Tristram v.1.01 and Borderlands v.1.04) will still get a lot of new features. I'm integrate a new rune system. You can find four types of runes in the game (crimson, gold, indigo, obsidian). A skill rune increases a certain skill of each character class. Runes takes the support slots in inventory one. Therefore, a Hero can only take two runes at once. You must decide whether you uses the inventory places for skill runes or jewelry (rings, amulets). An example of a rune in my maps:

Minor Crimson Rune
Classes: all Classes
increases skills:
Barbarian: Cleave +15% Damage
Wizard: Arcane Orb +25 Area Damage
Witch Doctor: Fire Bomb +50 Area Effect
Monk: Way of the Hundred Fists +15% Damage

Each improved skill (by the rune) has a new effect. Each player in the multiplayer can see skill effects of other players are changed by a rune. The runes promise more skill variety and enable a more complex game. The current runes (they increases attribute) are renamed in elixirs (example: elixir of vitality). I will make the rune system for New Tristram, Borderlands and the third Part and I continue to make new resource systems for all classes, lower cooldowns for many skills and a new fast Monk Combo System...

He probably meant a campaign file (no map file). Before I can put the maps into a campaign file, I must first make all the maps done and bugfree.
There will be 5 runes and not 4 runes more. All 5 hero skills of each character class be modifiable.
Rune types: Crimson, Indigo, Golden, Obsidian, Alabaster.

I plan also different quality levels of the runes.
New Tristram contains only minor skill runes. Borderlands will have an increased quality of runes. In the 3rd part the quality of runes will be increased again. In Part 3 you will start with level 25 and you are therefore already a relatively high-level character. nevertheless it will be the hardest part and the big finale. I have some ideas for the third map. Let yourself be surprised...

didnt I just said "one campaign file" and NOT a map file?, I've seen campaign files reached 70mb...

On 22. October will be the Blizzcon 2010. Then there are news to new areas of Diablo III and the 5th character class. I will include it in both maps and then I will begin to build the third part of my diablo series. The major boss of Borderlands will not be the Morlu Caster anymore. After the victory over the Morlu Caster the heroes will fight through a mini dungeon (spider cave) and at the end there will be a battle against Azmodan the lord of sin. waiting for updates. it's worth it ;)

wow thats a great news :D cant wait to try out the rune system

but there something i cant understand
- Automatically pick up from health globes
what the points ?? if we full life its a waste and even in D3 it wont be automatically

With automatic pick from health globes I mean when you walk through a health globe, it is collected automatically. You can click on them still. But it is no longer necessary to click on it. It works just like the Diablo 3 trailer and like na_dann_ma_gogo's map.
