[Campaign] Xelasznix ( From Ashes ) Rework

I was looking through my account and noticed that my very first post was about Xelansznix's campaign, which reminded me of it again. I saw that the author hasn't been active for a few months now, so I wanted to ask: is it allowed to make a 'rework' of the campaign?


I've created an introductory map based on Xelansznix: From Ashes and I'm sharing the first mission for early feedback and suggestions. The map is fully complete in terms of gameplay and narrative.


I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts on it.

First you have to ask for permission and wait a while before doing and especially uploading. Also, make sure it's considerably different/improved.
Note that such a thing is done usually to conserve old works which either don't work properly (bugs, version incompatibility etc.) or which have lower quality of life gameplay mechanics.

Yes, I know, but the author has been inactive for a long time... anyway, I just made the introduction to his campaign -- Did you take a look to see if the quality is good? I really need some feedback to continue the rest... (even if it's just to make it, without posting it).

I usually don't test unfinished works due to lack of time. The question to be asked is if the endeavour is worth it or indeed puts the campaign in a better meaningful light.
 
Good afternoon, everyone! This project isn’t dead, I just haven’t had time to continue it… Well, after a long time, I’ve decided to return to this project, but this time with a complete rework. I’ve redone the entire first chapter, including units and abilities, and I’ll be sharing it here for project feedback.


FROM THE ASHES


The campaign will focus on the aftermath of Archimonde’s death and the remaining forces of the Legion, facing the full resistance of the new Alliance and the liberation of the Scourge.

@Xelasznix has been online just today. Perhaps the user can chime in on the permission aspect.
I talked to him a few days ago and he gave me permission, which is exactly why I posted the project here. If you have time, please test it and give your feedback, it's a short mission, thank you : )
 
As promised, I’ll be posting the BETA of the campaign with the first two chapters fully completed. Please leave any feedback on what I should change or improve - if you need more tips, suggestions, or anything else.

See the Burning Legion through the eyes of a Lesser Dreadlord. Witness the fate of the remnants who still pledge loyalty, even after the humiliating defeat at Mount Hyjal, as they plot in the shadows to rise again FROM THE ASHES of their fallen empire!
 
The third chapter of the mission will take place exactly at the same spot as Cenarius’ death and the orcs’ second consumption of demonic blood. I’ve reimagined this entire area of the game.
(The terrain in the screenshot from the editor looks a bit bugged because it doesn’t show the custom tileset.)

ACT II – Development Update

- A few updates regarding Act II -
  • I’m currently working on the second mission of Act II, which will take place in the majestic mountains and vast green lands of Mulgore, a territory ruled by the tauren and the orc forces of the Horde -
  • This mission is being designed to highlight Mulgore’s natural grandeur, its tribal culture, and the region’s strategic importance within the campaign

(More details will be shared once the mission reaches a more advanced stage of development.)

The fifth mission is complete. Later today, I will begin working on Mission 6, the final mission of Act II.

The mission will take place in Mulgore and the majestic city of Thunder Bluff, featuring an entirely new tauren race, incredibly stronger and possibly the most diverse tech tree I have created so far for an enemy faction.
