Don't suppose anyone would be interested in an almost finished new RP sandbox map?
I've got a map lying around I made a while back, it uses a nicer engine, more powerful, everything written in ZINC or vJASS.
Some completed features include:
- multiple commands on a single line
- ability to create "alias" commands
- the ability to attach almost any model in the game to a unit
- in-game search commands for things like units, models, items and abilities (which I think are pretty badly optimized)
- a much better command / ooc and ic chat log
- the ability to write descriptions and attach them to units
- more powerful commands that allow you to write macros to automatically build cities and crap, and most importantly
- very abuse-resistant (all known crash and desync bugs fixed, resistant against command spam)
- has some custom models which don't suck and/or scream of Mary Sue
The features mostly missing are:
- object data, unit to hero conversions and hero to unit conversions (had macros to generate these though, but never got around to finishing it)
- object data, most commonly used builders and buildings
- object data, projectiles? (can't remember) (also had a macro for this)
- terrains (derp)
- tutorials on how to use the new powerful commands to build stuff quickly
- probably other stuff
- thorough bugtesting
I'd like to release it, but I want it to be open source, sick of the closed source crap that's been going around on war3 RP mapper community, and will hopefully encourage more people to make terrains.
If there is any interest and any suggestion as to how to organize said open source project, I'll gladly release my work.
